I think his name is Ron unfortunately I'm terrible at remembering names. Anyway he helped me for over an hour finding me shoes that would fit and not hurt since I have a collapsed ankle. He was extremely knowledgeable patient helpful and kind. He showed me a pair of Brooks running shoes that even he had as well as my orthopedic Dr. I watched him help others as well being extremely attentive to their needs. He helped more than one person at a time. Ron applies immense service and commitment to the store. A couple of weeks later I bought a folding chair that I saw outside and got a new one. The Maynard Outdoor Store has quality items and superb service. The staff that checks you out are extremely helpful patient and kind. I like the atmosphere it's very laid back and rustic. Will definitely return to the store. I thank Ron and the staff for your diligence. Take care and be safe l.

I have been going to the Maynard Outdoor Store since we moved out to this area (!) over 30 years ago.Such a practical array of clothing, equipment, etc for adults and children for indoor and outdoor activities.Hope it’s around another 30!

Maynard Outdoor Store has become our go to local shop for outdoor clothing and gear. We had a fantastic experience with them in purchasing some kids’ ice skates, snow suits and jackets. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Would 100% recommend!

Solid selection of outdoor gear from a local store at reasonable.prices. Has that general store feel I like in an outdoor store - it makes it feel homey and more like family, I suppose. Staff are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. They carry good shoes, including a selection of EE widths, unusual in a local store (Heck, it's unusual in an online retailer these days!) Recommended.

I bought a pair of hiking boots here months ago, and had only used them a handful of times before the lacing d-rings popped out. At that point it had been more than a month and I lost my receipt, so I was hesitant to go back to the store. Today I decided to finally bring them in, and was pleasantly surprised that John exchanged them and gave me a new pair of hiking boots immediately! It ended up being a fluke with a defective pair. I really appreciate the customer service, thank you! Saved me just in time for hiking trips this weekend

Very convenient for almost all sporting needs. The place has been a fixture of the town for a very long time, and has an old-school feeling. The interior has not been updated, but that's perfectly fine. The staff are extremely helpful and the prices are competitive.The store carries a wide variety of supplies including camping and sports equipment, shoes, boots, jeans, exercise clothing and outdoor wear. They carry very high quality clothing brands similar to larger chains and department stores, but without the crowds and great service. I can walk there, which makes it extra convenient.They also offer Ice skate sharpening

Quintessential main Street American shop, wonderful staff that will bend over backwards for you, loaded with top quality product and that Americana feel most of us long for.The outdoor store is a dying breed, I hope they survive, because just as online and super centers drain us of our character, places like the outdoor store define us and shows our American persistence is still there, albeit hidden in the shadows of our dying main streets.
