I was shopping for men's lounge pants for Christmas, and I was finding it hard to locate my husband's popular size. I went to another mega retailer moments before and had no luck, so I felt a bit defeated. The staff at the Black Dog General Store, and one young lady in particular, went out of her way to look in the back room and go through the showroom racks with me. We found them, and Christmas was saved!

Great Black Dog store at Mashpee Commons. Huge store with lots of merchandise. Bought a hat and looked at a t shirt for my son where you get a free Bruins mug with purchase of t shirt, but did not have his size, small. Lots of workers and store was beautiful and well organized. Fun place with something for everyone. Love Black Dog.

The young lady was so friendly!!! A big hi, How are you today. She said is there anything you need help with. I said we were looking.... She answered my questions and smiled was so nice. I got my son a few things for school. I love good customer service!!!! It's a very nice clean store. There staff is amazing!!! I will go back there again soon. Unlike the store across the street!!!! No customer service! I'm so happy with the Black Dog!!!!

Yes, they're a pricey clothing (and more) store Black Dog is quintessential Cape Cod though. Buy the adorable tee shirt, toy, etc and enjoy it for years. The products are quality. The staff in this location are friendly and helpful. Black Dog has 30 locations, with 90% in MA. I love that they give back to the local community, frequently hosting the local animal shelter and service dog nonprofit Dogs for Better Lives in their store. My childhood dog was a black lab. I will forever smile at their logo and buy their clothing. It's both childhood and Cape Cod nostalgia for me.

All there items are made in China, for a company that stated on Martha's Vineyard thats awful. I'll never pay top dollar for Chinese slave labor made clothing.

I have no respect for the Black Dog any more.Fire their workers for calling in sick... even if that's the last straw it should not be, not in the middle of a global pandemic. It is the lack of morals, empathy and respect for others that is the problem. By setting the precedent that workers can not call in sick, you will force employees that want to keep their jobs to come into work when they are sick and endanger others.Can you imagine being so sick you can hardly breath all night up coughing and aching all over only to wonder if you will have to call in sick and be fired in the morning for it. Then waking up to find that your boss wants you to call in so they can let you know your fired.This lack of compassion makes me sick.Though it may be illegal they make there workers:Work hours when they are not clocked in without correction.Pay for there own uniformWait for the payments they are owed.

The people in the store were not nice to me at all. I came into the store on my birthday changing the size of my new sweatshirt from a large to a medium. The were telling me not to change saying " I wouldn't do that if I were you. You look like your getting a bit big there buddy." they then proceeded to sigh and yawn whenever had explained my Bobby's on the size of the shirt. they continuously called me by my first name like we were old friends. in conclusion I feel disrespected and violate. NOT how I wanted to feel on my birthday.

Cute little shop.My in-laws got a black dog so naturally we had to bring them here to get some shirts.Everyone loved seeing Cooper! He was a hit and we got some great shirts.

Had a lovely girl help me find the sweatshirt I was looking for today! I believe her name was Kierra (apologies if this was not spelled correctly). Because the Mashpee store did not have the exact size I was looking for, she quickly worked to check with the Falmouth store, even offering to have them put one on hold for me to make sure it was there when I arrived. I assured her this was not necessary but she still called to make sure their online inventory was correct before I made the drive. She was SO sweet and very helpful. Highly recommend this store. Never a bad experience :)

Nice store. Would like to see at least a couple made in USA labels on clothing. Made in China but from the Vineyard.
