Where do I start? Mr. Silva is a very personable man and at first I thought the world of him. I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in a person in my life. My largest complaint is that Mr. Silva deceived us. We were adamant about wanting factory painted cabinetry. He gave us 3 samples from manufacturer to choose from; white, grey and navy. We chose the navy. When cabinets were installed the paint job was a horror and we found he had used his white stock cabinets and just painted them navy. Cabinets had to be painted several times and still not right. I kept addressing the fact that they were supposed to be factory finished to no avail. Paint is chipping off and it is in a bathroom rarely used! Second major complaint is that Mr Silva was a no-show throughout the process. He promised to be on the job and had the finest subs. He took on jobs on Nantucket and off Cape after signing our contract and bit off more than he could chew. For whatever reasons he lost his excellent subs and had to find inferior replacements at the last minute and he didn't even show up to direct them leaving everything up to his help. A job that was supposed to take weeks ended taking many months. The stress actually made my husband ill. Because Mr Silva was using inexperienced tile setters after an argument with the expert he promised to use, the entire shower enclosure had to be torn out and re-done and the mess I was left with in the basement was horrendous! I have drawers that do not close or do not close properly or doors that do not hang properly, leaky sink and soooo much more. He has promised to come here and make things right and has made appointments to do so. He has never showed up or had the decency to even call.
