“Came to The Cape to visit family and they told me about this great gift shop, so I had to visit. They did not mislead me.This shop had all kinds of gifts for everyone and every occasion. I enjoyed picking out Cape gifts from this local shop to bring back to Florida. Did I mention they gift wrap? Nice!Make sure you check out the second floor for all the dresses and casual wear. It was office season, so nothing was overly busy. This allowed me to take my time checking out the shop. The woman at the store on that day was friendly and attentive. She was particularly nice to my child that was patiently waiting as I shopped. (There wasn’t too much selection for a 9 year old).But there was lots of selection for adults of all genders. Accessories, too. The regular prices weren’t cheap, but the quality was much better than what I typically find at novelty shops. I bought my new favorite hoody here. Happy to say that they carry larger sizes, at least to 2x. Can’t say that about many stores. I appreciate not feeling left out while on vacation.This is absolutely an LGBTQ friendly shop, as evidenced by some of their items. Great spot for retirees looking for some loungewear or a gift.If you have mobility needs, this place is tight, but I’m willing to bet you’ll be able to ask for assistance.I’d stop in here again. “I was shopping for men's lounge pants for Christmas, and I was finding it hard to locate my husband's popular size. I went to another mega retailer moments before and had no luck, so I felt a bit defeated. The staff at the Black Dog General Store, and one young lady in particular, went out of her way to look in the back room and go through the showroom racks with me. We found them, and Christmas was saved!

The only problem that I have is that when I get an email that states I have $130 in coupons but I actually have $130 in coupons if I spend $260. Hmmm? I ended up spending $60 more. The two ladies at the store where very patient with me and helped me out with my order. Thank you. I only wish if a company wants to give me a monetary reward that they do it without the gimmick.”
