I need to give a big shout out to Donna @Daily Dog!When leaving our fur baby Bella at 7-months for our first time I felt comfortable and confident that she would be taken care of, safe, and loved in amazing hands. We did the 10-day training package to help us learn how to best communicate with Bella so she can be the best she can be. The updates and pictures during her stay were impressive and enjoyed hearing and seeing how she was doing. I was absolutely thrilled at how much Bella learned and how helpful Donna was at our pick-up training session teaching us what Bella had learned so we can continue this work at home. Look forward to our continued trainings with Donna!!

Donna is a skilled dog (and dog parent) trainer who takes the time to truly understand the needs, concerns, and goals of her clients. Donna and the Daily Dog are the best around, I highly recommend working with them! I was lucky enough to have been referred to Donna when I got a puppy and was looking for a trainer. As a first time dog owner, Donna was patient enough to educate me as well as work with me to train my dog. Starting with fundamentals and progressing as the dog learned her commands.Donna also has a true understanding of dog behavior which is extremely helpful in training and overcoming any behavioral issues. Now I have an obedient, well trained dog who gets to live her best life!

My dog Jackson is 13 3/4 years old. He has several health conditions and has had 4 surgeries in the past year. I contacted Donna to come train him to stand with his back legs on a wave vibration board as this has been shown to be a potential benefit for his neuropathy & hind-end weakness, (caused by laryngeal paralysis).His front legs needed to be on a surface equal in height to the wave board.Right away Donna began looking at the set-up I’d planned and made suggestions on how to change it for his confidence and comfort. She worked with him and I to coax him to at least put a paw or two on the surfaces. Which he did. She gave me amazing tips on language to use, ways to get him accustomed to the process and homework for us!Our next session was 2 weeks later. Jackson was so happy to see her! Immediately greeting her like he’d always known her. This was a definite surprise to me! He is very friendly, but usually shy and reserved with strangersWe showed her the setup changes I’d made and she approved. She talked again about using language and we landed on “wiggle exercise” as his verbal cue for the process.Pretty quickly he stepped on the board, repeating the successes of the prior session (even though we had failed to do our homework!)Next she coaxed him onto the entire surface - which he used to climb onto the couch (we all laughed!!)We worked more on setup, with great suggestions from Donna on space markers for his feet, how to get him to position himself in the correct spot for vibration to back back feet & legs. We practiced that a few times and she decided it was time to turn on the vibration and see how he would respond. She repeated the same process of coaxing him and he stepped right up onto the noisily vibrating board, with no fear whatsoeverWe were ALL blown-away!!We practiced two times with 1 minute intervals on the board and lots of suggestions from Donna on continuing on our own.I am using her method and Jackson has successfully completed his wiggle exercise twice since Donna’s visit. We need to work slowly to not over-stress his muscles and joints.I was amazed with Donnas knowledge and ability to make my dog instantly comfortable with her presence and instructions. I highly recommend her training services. Especially because of the complexity of successfully training Jackson to do this really unusual and potentially scary vibration activity!!Thank you Donna !!❤️?

Donna was our trainer for a very rambunctious puppy. After a couple of sessions with Donna, he was walking on a leash like a champ. Came when he was called and did everything else she taught him. We are forever grateful to Donna.

Donna was amazing! She made Ruby feel welcome immediately, introduced her to the other dogs as soon as she got there, and allowed time for our kids to adjust to leaving her. Donna sent daily photos of playtime, and kept us informed throughout our weeklong trip. This was the first boarding experience for Ruby and it exceeded our expectations. Thank you!

We have been working with Donna Dunlop and The Daily Dog for two months now. We reached out to Donna when we adopted our year-old rescue, Winnie who exhibited a great deal of leash reactivity, While Winnie loves meeting and playing with other dogs off leash, she would lunge and snarl at passing dogs while on leash. Leash walking was important for Winnie to learn as we do not have a fenced in yard nor do we have access to a fenced in yard. We also live in a very active dog walking neighborhood so Winnie needed to learn to get along with her doggie neighbors. We signed up for Donna's Board and Train program where Winnie went to live with Donna for 10 days to learn the skills for leash walking and other important behaviors and we couldn't be happier with the results. Donna taught Winnie how to be more relaxed on leash walks but then taught us to work on those skills back at our house. The follow up lessons are just as important as the off site training and we realize we are on a training journey with Winnie each day as she becomes more and more comfortable with the skills Donna taught her. The best part is that you never feel alone-Donna is just an email away and we continue to schedule follow up sessions to make sure that Winnie continues to incorporate her new skills in her everyday behavior and experiences. We are Daily Dog fans for life!

Ive been using Donna and the Daily Dog for years now. She has trained 3 of my dogs using a positive reinforcement technique. One of my dogs is a rescue and she presents unique challenges. Donna has been able to help me navigate her personality style. It's always a pleasure to work with a patient knowledgeable trainer.

We want to give a big shoutout and a 5+ star review to Donna Dunlop for being an awesome dog trainer. She's done wonders with our cockapoo -Cooper.Donna really knows her stuff when it comes to dogs. She is an expert at her job not only in providing training but helping the owners understand the strategies behind the training. She is knowledgeable on every aspect of a dogs needs and shares her knowledge generously.She taught us how to walk cooper with a loose leash rather than him pulling us down the road. He now easily responds to commands and can now greet people at the door without jumping and zoomies!!She's been super patient and friendly throughout the training, making it a fun experience for both our dog and us. Thanks to her, Cooper has become more well-behaved and confident.If you're looking for a down-to-earth and expert dog trainer, Donna is the way to go. In addition she is also a genuine, friendly and approachable person.

Moonshine is currently 10 months old. We have been working with Donna for a few months now. We liked the 1:1 teaching and never felt rushed. Donna always got back to us when we had questions. We now take our pup with us to some outside sitting areas and relax. I would highly recommend the Daily Dog.

We have had the privilege of working with Donna who is an exceptional trainer. We cannot express enough gratitude for the remarkable expertise and dedication she has brought to our 3-year-old rescue dog and fur baby, Scout, toward a happy and healthier life. Coming from the South and bouncing from two other homes, Scout had a tough beginning. A few months into our adopting Scout we notice a shift in his behavior. He started to become a very protective, bundle of fear, and showed some aggression and anxiety. From the very first session, it was evident Donna has an incredible understanding of dog behavior and psychology. She took the time to assess Scouts' needs and created a training plan that addressed both their fear aggression and anxiety issues. Her training approach is rooted in compassion, patience, and positive reinforcement.After a few training sessions one to one training sessions, we did a 3-week board and train program. The training program covered everything from basic obedience commands to addressing specific triggers that caused fear aggression. Donna’s ability to connect and engage with Scout is truly remarkable. Her training approach is rooted in compassion, patience, and positive reinforcement, allowing Scout to feel safe and supported throughout the training process. Not only did she help train Scout, but she also helped train us. She provided invaluable knowledge and tools to reinforce the training at home. She provided us with additional resources, guides, support, and the reasoning behind each training technique. We began to understand the reasoning behind his behavior and triggers and how to help and support him inside and outside the home.After just one week, we saw a tremendous difference in Scout. After week three, he continued to progress and transform. Scout's fear and anxiety are deep-rooted. It is amazing to witness Scout's transformation, seeing him overcome his fears, one small victory at a time, his anxiety starting to dimmish, and his confidence and happiness continuing to grow. Donna’s influence has extended far beyond training sessions, creating a positive ripple effect that has transformed our entire household. With her unwavering commitment to Scout's success, Donna was able to help us transform him into a confident, happy, obedient, and well-trained companion.Donna went above and beyond for us and Scout. We wholeheartedly recommend Donna to anyone seeking dog training or help with dogs who have a fear of aggression, anxiety, or any other behavioral challenge. We cannot express enough the appreciation and thankfulness we have for Donna and the Daily Dog.
