This place is super cute! You should definitely try the chocolate section! They also have handmade vegan leather backpacks and purses and a lot more cute stuff!

My daughter took me here on Mother's Day, my Mom used to take me and her here when we both were growing up, we lost her last August so it's our first Mother's Day without her, it was so nice to look at all the little things she would buy for us as cheer up gift or a great job. And of course we bought her favorite fudge in her honor , and got Dad a special treat too? So nice to step back in time.

The penny candy store side was great. Chocolate, gummies,fireball and peanut butter cups galore. The general store side was disappoint especially for those of us who visit year ago. Now the have nice tourist trap item.

A lovely shop with many items to view for purchase. Staff member was helpful in making suggestions and used care in wrapping the more fragile items.

I've been going to the Wayside Inn Candy store since I was a kid, it's always been a magical experience. Over the years though they've swapped out several of their candy brands for ones of poorer quality. For example, I used to love the chocolate covered Swedish fish, but a few years ago they swapped brands to a less tasty brand of fish. And just now I realized they swapped out their brand of Boone berries, which is honestly the last straw.
