DO NOT I repeat, DO NOT get an account with this credit union under ANY circumstances. If you fall on hard times they will pounce like a shark that smells blood in the water. I have an account with them so that I could get my car loan away from Capital One. Boy that was a big mistake. Getting an account with them. One day I went into the branch to get my paycheck cashed and the branch manager here in nashua, New Hampshire took the check away from the clerk and began looking it over to see if it was fraudulent. He refused to let me cash it. Before that the clerk was looking at my check anyhow to see if there was some reason he could refuse it as well. Anytime I go in there they look for a way to refuse me service. They are simply awful! Now I get direct deposit to another bank - Discover Bank. I never use DCU to put any money in any of those accounts. I just keep the accounts open for the sake of the car loan. Recently I asked to renegotiate my car loan - because a woman hit me and it reduced the value of my car and DCU refused. I thought maybe they would help. Instead they told me they would only offer me a settlement or arrange to have the car repossessed. They are very toxic. They also said if I miss one payment or cancel the insurance due to being laid off they will come and pick the vehicle up. When I asked about the arbitration agreement in the contract they ignored me and said I had no rights.

If I could give -5 stars I would. The absolute worst possible financial institution I have worked with in my life. The lack of intelligence of their customer service team is almost impressive. They lie to you, they mislead you, they put you on hold for extreme periods of time, and generally have a dismissive, disinterested attitude. I am embarrassed I even considered using this credit union. Avoid them at all costs or you will regret it.

I am a depositor at DCU, went into Nashua office to get some temporary checks and they got my address wrong. I hope the regular checks I ordered have THE CORRECT ADDRESS. Now I have to go back to the branch to hope they got it right. Very unprofessional.

Was reported for late payment because autopay didnt go through not my fault their system wasnt working . Dcu ruined my credit would never recommendNote: thats the only late payment in my life brought credit down by 60 points

Would be awesome if this branch could stick to one check cashing policy. I’ve been cashing signed over checked at DCU for over 6 months with no issues at any other branch, today I was told there would be a two business day (it’s currently Friday) hold on my funds which has never happened (even at this location). When I explained this I was told “this is how they’re supposed to do it” with no further explanation. I don’t want to have to guess if I will be able to access my funds after cashing a check here depending on who’s working and how they’re feeling . Extremely un human and bad customer service. Merry Christmas from a mom who now has to figure out the weekend monetary wise! Will not be returning to this location.

Joined DCU a year ago, I read most of the reviews, majority of them were pretty bad, also some excellent ones. I applied for a mortgage that they assured me could possibly work for me and my partner. We combined all are paper work put into a Portal and spoke with a rep . There was no personal communication to help us through this process. We both have great jobs. Paid well. Money in our savings. Credit scores were pretty goodAfter 2 weeks. Heard nothing, called and emailed my rep. No answer, finally my partner called and she said sorry you were declined. Just to let customers hang on and not even an email or a call explaining we were declined and if they could guide us through on what we can do to get approved. NOTHING!!DCU, was a great disappointment I would never recommend them at all. Their employees in the underwriting and people you talk to first were extremely unprofessional She was working from home, very silly, did not take my process serious at all I felt very slighted.

DCU member for 23+ years and I've witnessed a marked decline in their services in recent years. I may be forced to take my accounts elsewhere if the trend doesn't course correct. My current and primary frustration is with their Bill Pay feature... it's absolute trash (hot garbage!) and has been so for the last couple of years (since 2020 or 2021).

Bill Payer has been down for the past 3 days...October 29, 30, and 31. Lots of people are trying to pay bills. I keep getting messages thanking me for my patience. However, I have run out of patience. I'm sure DCU won't pay late fees due to their bill payer being down. I've been a member for 40 years. I have seen a decline in service and moved most of my money out about 5 years ago. However I kept my checking account. Now I will move my checking elsewhere. I'm done.

WORD TO THE WISE: DO NOT EVER USE THIS BANK OR GET SOLAR LOAN FROM THEM. THEY ARE VERY UNETHICAL AND SCAMMERS. I purchased a solar system back in 2019 and had mosaic loan before they changed my loan to DCU. I sold my house in Aug of 2023 and ask this shady bank for a payoff letter that i had to jump through hoops to get. I did not receive it the first time i called, and had called back to request yet another one. I finally got a letter that i submitted to the escrow company. The loan was paid off, so I thought. a month and a half later I noticed I still had a 225.00 balanced. I call and ask why there was a balance and explained that this should have been paid off. The rep called there solar loan ppl whom are the lowest of low and are very rude. They told the rep that they only sent one letter and that I owed the remaining balance. I had a letter that was dated Aug 10 and that was the letter that I submitted to the escrow company. They were claiming this letter did not exist and that they only sent one dated Aug 15. After making multiple calls, and talking to supervisor's, and emailing the proof of the letter that I had. This ppl whom think there god, still said well you still owe this money and that was that. So I am being strong armed into paying for a mistake that they made, and lied about. This ppl are crooks. If you buy solar and get a loan, you will have this shady bank as the ones that carry your loan. They will change you, $5.19 per day in interest fees. They do not care about you, they only want to rob you, and take your money. Never consider or buy a solar loan unless you want to go thorough what I did. they get NO STARS from me.

Just trying to call customer service, not only once but three times. It's so confusing and it doesn't help with anything at all. When you agree to get a call later on, gives you options to schedule an apt next week when you really need help right away. Really!!!!!????? 1am a banker too and I know how and where to get help, and still I am struggling. Can you imagine other clients what they go through??? This is ridiculous! I scheduled a transfer fron DCU acct to my other bank for October 11th,2023 . The money was taken from DCU acc on the 10th and today is 11th ,7:28 pm and there is no money in my other bank. Where is the money ,which is disappeared for two days??????

BEWARE! DCU CLOSED MY 40-Year ACCOUNT AND KEPT MY MONEY. THEY SAID IT WAS DUE TO INACTIVITY. SINCE WHEN IS THIS APPROPRIATE OR LEGAL? I had 1 auto loan with these crooks many years ago. The loan was paid on time and in full after never missing a payment. My separate savings account had a small balance. Out of the blue I received a notice that my account had been closed and the balance was kept due to some BS fees that they decided to tack on without notice. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for financial services.

They really deserve zero (0) stars. Their service has not just gone downhill, it's like they relocated their office space to the bottom of the hill, so they cannot go any lower. 20+ years ago, they offered good service, and were helpful. How does a company go from that to what they are now? They have the worst staff, and no matter who you speak with, it's the same poor service, even if you speak to a supervisor. They have become an embarrassment. My salary goes into this account, so I am staying there for now. If I change jobs, or find another bank or Credit Union to go through, I WILL change accounts. Th problem is, each one is competing to be worse than the other right now.

DCU is the worst. They used to be great, they have gone downhill. I deposit a lot of money with them every year, recently, I deposited the check that they held, and I had to spend over 30 minutes on the phone two different times talking to somebody and they had to get their supervisor to finally make my friends available. I have been thinking with them my entire adult hood, and I am almost 50, this is unacceptable. I am moving to a different bank.
