The compassion of the staff here has been amazing to my animals. The knowledge, professionalism and dedication to their profession is to be commended. Scheduling for veterinary services today can be difficult with all providers and the staff handles this with understanding and patience. We appreciate that and feel like they are part of our family in caring for our pets. Our family recommends this practice to all.

It was our first time there as we changed Vets and couldn't have been happier. They were caring, friendly, knowledgeable and kind. From the first phone to talk about switching to them to being there yesterday. Everything was organized and they couldn't have been more welcoming. I know our dogs are in great hands. Highly recommend them.

This place is EXTREMELY RACIST and lack customer service! After arriving about 30mins late for an appointment I originally made and kept calling to inform them of my tardiness they still advised me to come. Only to get there to be told I missed NY appointment and would need to reschedule. So as a courtesy I PAID which they HADN'T ISSUE WITH TAKING MY FUNDS EARLY as my deposit and reschedule for another month out just for the consultation. Ok, NP! However, when the date approached I NEVER RECEIVED A REMINDER OR EMAIL . Nothing then I call the next day leave a message, no call back! Then 2 weeks later I call again to reschedule and spoke to the woman Pam who had just been working there about a week be so rude and condescending that when I asked to speak to her supervisor she never even bother to say plz hold...she just handed the phone over to another woman who claimed to be the manager named DEBBIE! WHAT A JOKE!!!! She was not only combative over the phone but the lack of professionalism was out of this world. I am advising those of color DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have been to a couple of Vet clinics and as stress as they can be I imagine for staff, they've never spoken or treated customers like this. I would've at least appreciated an apology for thie lack of notifications or perhaps offer me my refund or reschedule but she could care less by saying there's no one above her and "I would have to deal with it"! That's absurd. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!!

I've only used them for two years for my newest dog. I took my previous dogs to different vets. Since my dog is still young I haven't had too many issues that required special visits other than annual physicals, however when I have needed them for anything it's always easy to get an appt. Yes, it's expensive but all vets can be. That's where pet insurance comes in, if you want to spend the $ to save the $. Also, I believe they have a senior discount but you'd have to ask. The last call I made was when I attempted to trim my dog's nails at home one Saturday and could not get one to stop bleeding. They said come on down, showed my how to use this little styptic thingy, gave it to me and said "no charge". That was great service

Having gone to Compassion Vet since my childhood dog 20 years ago, I have always felt comfortable approaching their doors with any animal I brought in. Their location was convenient and they always took my phone calls and scheduled me in when needed. The staff has always been somewhat cordial and my current dogs picture as a baby has been on the wall for 4 years now. It is important to find a vet that you trust since having an animal is a lot different than children- they cannot speak and tell us just how crappy they are feeling. My past two experiences with them have been very unfortunate and I came to a very upsetting point where I was forced to say enough was enough. Every business makes mistakes and it is unfair for a consumer to judge off one experience. Now, when that mistake has now repeated itself with zero empathy or compassion (ironic is it ) I have to do something, don't I? I have the obligation as the owner of my pet to stand up and be her advocate for her well being - as well as make you all aware of what they are doing. I go there often to get my dogs nails trimmed, glands expressed and get heart guard treats almost every month because I enjoy the trip. Out of these visits that require whoever is working with me at that moment to open my file to collect money for these services, must see what is going on with my dog. Yet, they have failed to inform me that my dogs vaccinations have now been missed *TWICE*. The first time was I thought minor where her heart guard testing was overdue and they couldn't give me my heart guard that month without doing it. They also mentioned she should not have received it last month either since she was that overdue, yet no one informed me (like I mentioned I am there every month) So I had to leave and make an emergency appointment so she could get the treat on time. I was frustrated but knew that this mistake was a fluke since it has never happened before. Now, the second time I had a scare with a tick encounter and realized this could get dangerous the way they are handling things. I foolishly did not Flea and Tick my dog in time and I was scared from the potential harm the tick I pulled off her could do. I knew she was Lyme vaccinated and with the shred of hope I had left, prayed this would be enough protection. As I called them to ask their advice, what to do, how to handle it, they checked my file to help answer my questions. They then uttered something that immediately made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up ... "Your dog has been out of date of her Lyme vaccination since November" (it is now April). As I mentioned .. I am there almost every month for SOMETHING. The same file they check every time I am there has just now appeared that she is overdue AGAIN for something? Any time within these past 5 months NOONE COULD TELL ME THIS?! The heart guard incident just happened a month ago, there was no way for them to also inform me about the Lyme vaccination? Sitting here kicking myself "why didn't I ask about her Lyme vaccination". I then remembered that their exact job is just that - to protect and inform me when my animals need treatment, just like a doctor does, and they failed. At this point - in tears - I expressed how disappointed I was and they offered to give me a weeks' worth of antibiotics to help ease my worries and for their oversight. I was still upset but appreciated that they tried to help the situation. Unfortunately, when going to pick up the medication, they asked me to hand over the money for it and that was my last straw. Immediately called another vet to transfer her records and once the secretary at Compassion did the task - he merely asked me to leave the office so he could delete me out of the system permanently. From the years I have been going there, me and my dog have never felt so worthless - like we didn't matter. If you want to be sure your animal's vaccinations are taken care of so you do not have to worry about them all the time - I suggest you give your thousands of dollars elsewhere. The

Dr. Wilson and the staff are wonderful. They were kind enough to squeeze me in on a busy Saturday for a follow-up concern about my cat. I also appreciate that a staff member is usually there a little before 8:00 am. I will definitely continue with them for all future pet care :)

I brought Smokey, my neutered male cat there when he was struggling to urinate. I called and explained what was going on and they had me bring him in right away. I was a nervous wreck of course, my pets are my family. The office is very clean. The Doctor, who is very kind and knowledgeable recommended leaving Smokey overnight and so I did. I went the next day to pick him up and the Receptionist was very friendly and thoroughly explained what I needed to do the next several days, and explained all of the meds. It was an overall great experience under the circumstances. I've have since decided to bring all of my pets there. I definitely recommend this Veterinary Hospital!

I cannot say enough positive things about Compassion Vet Clinic - I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Only a few weeks after moving to Massachusetts, my 1-year old cat was vomiting bile and refusing food or water for several days. My partner and I are both students, so our budgets are very tight. We had no idea what to do, and we weren't even sure if he had eaten something that was stuck in his intestines or if he had a viral or bacterial infection. We took him to the closest vet and got poor service and vague, frightening estimates for "minimum of $2000 for surgery, if it goes quickly and the surgeon only makes one incision." We were almost ready to give up and put him down, but a call to Compassion Vet was our saving grace. The staff are all friendly, helpful, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. We were very upfront about our financial situation, and they gave us a quote far below what we were previously told a surgery of this kind would take. They admitted him on Friday and performed the surgery during their lunch break. He stayed overnight and has since fully healed. The veterinarians and staff at this clinic went above and beyond for us; they even counseled us over the phone regarding post-surgery care when we noticed our cat had stopped eating again. At our final follow-up visit, they even refunded us for products that we hadn't used. For as long as I'm in the area, I will absolutely be using them as my one and only vet clinic, and I highly recommend them to others in the area.

This place has always been good, able to accommodate me schedule wise and prompt for appointments. The point that they went above and beyond was when my kitten Stella got sick, they truly showed "compassion" and felt like they truly cared as if she was their own. It's never easy having an animal pass away. They didn't have to send flowers and a card and make follow up phone calls, but it is something that is rare these days and I will continue bringing my furry family to this location because of that.

This vet is very reasonably priced. For the person who commented saying they had to pay for the second part of their shot, yes you do have to pay for BOOSTERS. It is still a separate vaccine that the clinic has to pay for. And yes, you have to pay to get in the door, just like any other vet clinic and just like you do any time you go to your own doctor. The doctors are very knowledgeable and stay on track with appointments while still giving each client the time they need. It's a great clinic.

I have two dogs and they love the people at Compassion Veterinary. Of course they charge for services and medications provided. What vet doesn't? If cost is a concern, you should discuss that up front. I did not find that they charged any more or less than other vets. The facility is clean, the administrative staff is friendly, and the vets and assistants are thorough and knowledgeable. Appointment times are kept and they call with test results promptly. Dr. Patil is my vet and he's very gentle, always happy to answer questions, and my dogs like him. I'm very happy with Dr. Patil and his staff. He has provided consistently good care and advice. I would recommend Compassion a Veterinary to others. I went to them based on a positive recommendation from somebody as a matter of fact.

I have been bringing my cats here for many years and they have been great. While the owner does spend a lot of time away, I have found every one of the substitutes to be very capable and compassionate.

Their check ups aren't as expensive as other places, unlike what the other reviewer said. I went here for years but changed Vets because they hired new vets and every time I went in I would get a different vet now. No one gave me any instructions when my cat was sick and not eating. Because I had common sense I force fed my cat some food and water daily. 2-3 days AFTER I visited the vet because cat was sick 1 of their vets called and happen to tell me a cat needs 1/2 a can of food daily or could die! So my pet could have died 2-3 days earlier if I hadn't thought to force feed my cat myself! Also they hate online pharmacies. They would always give me a hard time every time I asked for my pet's prescription in writing so I could order through the mail from a nationally recognized US registered pet pharmacy (cheaper and more convenient for me). Heard owner vet brag to a new employee about how my cats had been going to him for years, yet he didn't treat me or my pets like family. I became just another client to them, even after seeing them yearly for almost a decade! Did not value me as a client. I only chose them years ago because they were the only local vet open on a Saturday when my cats were kittens and needed an immediate checkup after 2 of my kittens had died.
