It's terrible to have to say this, but I don't recommend it. I was there and they didn't even ask me if I needed help, I was looking for a new car and they didn't even give me the chance! sad.

DO NOT BUY HERE. They lie to you and sell Lemons. They are unethical and will sell you on things that aren’t true. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

I have now gone to Automax for 3 car purchases. Always a great experience and excellent inventory to choose from. Most recently I dealt with Alvaro at the Marlborough location when I needed to replace my old car. Alvaro was easy to work with, straightforward and very efficient. It was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend Automax to anyone looking to buy a used vehicle.

The sales experience was satisfactory, a little pressured, but OK. However, after driving the truck for a couple weeks I had a list of repairs needed. I had a transmission leak, that they could not find, I had a safety camera that needed resetting that they could not fix, and worst of all I had 2 small parts for replacement. These were a license plate bracket and a lens cover on a tow mirror blinker. I was told they didn't have them, but ordered the part for delivery to my house. That was 6 weeks and 15 phone calls ago. When I call sales they say service will call back, and vice versa...for weeks. These folks are not honest about their intentions for repairs and will just give you the run around. Very disappointing when spending $40,000. Be careful.

Got a call from this place after putting my vehicle through Kelly Blue Book’s instant cash offer service saying the value was 2,700, but needed to be appraised. Fair enough, brought it in and they offered me 1,000…. I don’t think they realized that their updated appraisal gets sent out by KBB because after I left I checked my email only to find they reached an appraisal number of 2,100 and still gave me such a low ball offer. Complete waste of my time, would not recommend.

I don't recommend it! They sold me a car with bad tires and they didn't want to replace it, an almost dead key and with airbag problems! The manager was super rude!

The car must be well examined by a trusted mechanic because even though it has low mileage, it can be the same as a car with 100 thousand miles!, not to mention the promise to change the brake system and tires that was not fulfilled, after I took it to Toyota and they told me that the brakes would have to be changed soon, I questioned Auto Max who promised the change and they came with talk that it wasn't environmentally friendly, so why do they say they're going to do something and after the sale they don't do it? , the tires are also the original factory ones to this day, I do not recommend it!!!!!

Test drove a used car on a Saturday, said we were likely to buy it, but needed to think about it, and would make a decision by Monday and I understood they couldn't hold it. They asked about financing, and I said I would go through by own credit union, DCU. They made a big deal that I could apply through them for same place, I declined. Decided Monday to buy, made an appointment to come in at 5:30 to sign paperwork. I called DCU, got preapproved. Since I have to drop my credit freeze for this I wanted to get it out of the way. Arrived at dealer first they were angry I applied for a loan on my own, they wanted to go through them. First, they said it would be more convenient for me and save time, but they got very insistent I go through them. I called DCU and confirmed it would be the same rate, so I gave in and filled out the paperwork through them. Then I waited 30 minutes to wait for their "Finance guy." After that I was getting annoyed. Then and only then they said I had been declined through them since I had a credit freeze on. (Please note I dropped the freeze for 48 hours with the credit agency DCU uses internally, so this must be one of the other 2 agencies.)This is when things went completely off the rails. I said, well, isn't it lucky I have a preapproved loan through DCU and I just have to upload the P&S! Then they started telling me very firmly I NEEDED to get on my phone and drop my freeze. Wouldn't even tell me which agency I needed to unfreeze. I was, nope, not doing it, just sell me the car. I said I could even give them I check; I had the money in savings. They INSISTED I needed to finance through them because "they get paid right away" and that was the ONLY way the would sell me the car. I walked away, but I asked for my paperwork back since it had my info on it and they said, "You signed the privacy agreement we can't legally give it back to you." It was my info! They threw it into a big bin marked to be shred, as if that protects it.Almost a month later, the car I was going to buy is still on sale. Clearly, they are in the business of care loans and not car sales.Somehow I thought in 2023 buying a used car would be less scammy, I was wrong.

ADVERTISEMENT IS FRAUDULENT!!!!!!!! This place is selling vehicles that have been in accidents and leaving this info out. They are selling vehicles as accident free because of clean carfax reports when they have clearly been in an accident. I was sold a work van that had clearly been rear ended pretty good. I didn't notice this when I bought it because it was raining and it was going to be a work van so I wasn't too concerned about minor damage and what not so I didn't completely look the exterior over. I'd finally noticed it when I went to install some van shelving. I would have never wasted my time even looking at this van if I knew this. I wanted a work van with low miles and no accidents. Those were my no budging requirements. Their ads they have online make no mention of this. It's clearly evident from all the people I've showed, so them claiming ignorance as they did was complete bull crap. The manager I talked to gave me a hard time, and I had to threaten to sue for fraudulent advertising to get this rectified. The phone system here is a complete joke too. Phone calls go to a call center, and you never get to the person you are trying to talk to. I had to call numerous times to get to anyone worth talking too. I've bought many vehicles new and used, and this place was by far the worst. STAY AWAY!!!! Oh and how could I forget, they don't even fill your tank on a vehicle purchase! I've never bought a car that didn't come with a full tank! I'm very thankful for the laws and regulations on the books for dealerships and I'd like to see more because dealers like these guys! Auto max is why these laws get made!

I went in to the store to “look “ at vehicles. I test drove a Nissan and then looked at a minivan . I emphasize the word “looked” at them. My husband asked for a “rough estimate” for the monthly payments and said twice DO NOT RUN my credit. Guess what the older white gentleman DID run my credit. We left immediately and DID NOT purchase a vehicle from here and never will.
