If I could use negative stars... I would! Please stay away!Made an appointment, to hem my daughter's "simple" prom dress.When asked how much it would cost, I was told that she would have to see it on my daughter.... fair.....During the phone call, Ann made it sound like she was making it a favor to stay and wait for my daughter until 5 pm, her closing hours. Oh.... and was told : Bring some cash for deposit please.... ok, a bit weird...I called to inform her that we are showing up early, so she no longer has to wait.... Now there is a wait, we get taken in at 5:30!No problem!Here is the kicker! Ann quickly chops off a chunk off my daughter's dress before my daughter or I realize what happened... My daughter is in tears!She then says that it will cost $200 plus the cost of expediting! Given a simple dress hemming, I was shocked at the price, my daughter was shocked at the fact that she just chopped a part of her dress of without asking her first.Ann was shocked when we decided to walk out...... My daughter was convinced that her prom dress was ruined! We do not talk about that :(NOT PROFESSIONAL AND COULD OF RUINED MY DAUGHTER'S PROM DRESS....... Ann was not apologetic at all. What just happened? Did she just ruin a chance for the next tailor?Thankfully not!PLEASE STAY AWAY!This is my first Google review, I am still shocked!

Great place I bring all my jeans there to get shortened Ann is originally from China, She is such a sweetheart and very pleasant to talk to and a great great tailor!!!

Ann did a wonderful job on a bridesmaid dress I needed hemmed but I do feel like it was VERY expensive compared to what my family members and other bridal party members paid to get the same exact dress hemmed CLOSER to and right IN Boston. They paid maybe a quarter of what I paid. Yikes. Other than the price, I do recommend Ann for quality but maybe shop around first to compare prices?!!Services: Dress alterations

Ann is a delightful lady and is a pleasure to deal with. I had her sew on four heavy-duty buttons on an LL Bean coat that I love, and was given to me by my late mother. She also fixed a sizeable hole where one of the buttons went, and you can barely tell it was there. I was so pleased, that I wore it home. I have a few other garments in need of care. I will be back. Oh, and her rates are reasonable. She also requests that you wear a mask, which is fair enough.

August 2022: This was my first time going to Ann's Tailor Shop. Ann was a pleasure to deal with and charged a fair price. She did an excellent job on the repairs to my son's winter jacket. Was told by another Tailor I needed to buy a new zipper for $300.00 ski jacket plus the cost to remove and add the new one. Ann's said it was a simple repair and fixed it for $15.00 instead of $55.00.
