It pains me to give Great Hill Blue Cheese three stars since I'm always impressed by any small diary operation that attempts to make a great blue cheese. Unfortunately their Blue is mild, chalky, easily crumbles and has some off putting tastes. It is competitively priced with other artisan blue cheeses but if St. Pete's, Maytag, or Point Reyes is available I'd go with one of those.

On impulse, we bought Great Hill Blue Cheese at Lee's Market in Westport. Our favorite way to have blue cheese is with a very ripe, sweet pear. Wow, the Great Hill Blue is fantastic. Mild but flavorful and a perfect match to the pear. For us, it was comparable to Rogue River Blue for a fraction of the price.

The worst blue cheese I've ever had. I got it at my local supermarket so it may have been the way they handled it. It was dry, and covered in white mold, and no blue veins at all in the wedge. I cut into the middle to try a piece and it tasted just like a hard piece of string cheese

Had this today on a toasted Bay's English muffin. Best Bleu cheese I have ever had. Smooth and tons of flavor without being bitter. Having it made in Massachusetts is a big plus, and fairly close to home means truly supporting local businesses. You cannot go wrong if you love Bleu cheese by buying Great Hill cheese.

Great product! I look for this in every grocery store I go to. I've had a lot of luck finding more of it in Austin. It's the best blue cheese I've had! I hosted a big party a few weeks ago and all my guests were raving about it!
