Rude and terrible service. Trashy and unclean. Don't park in there lot or the owner will harass you. Your better off going somewhere else.

Will never forget that the owner called the police on us for being "suspicious" because we were from out of town and took too long selecting a wine. The officers laughed it off because apparently the owner is unpredictable and has issues, but we were left mortified.

Single malts are too high, but good selection of wines. They do have a decent wine selection, craft beers and easy parking. I was informed that if they didn't have my choice that they would order it, that's nice for the locals for sure but I was just visiting. I am all about supporting local businesses and economies so i found an interesting Port gift set that i picked up and was happy I stopped in, The store was clean and organized with a pleasant staff member. I think this establishment is probably just fine for tourists like me but it reminds me of a local one close to me that just overprices their stuff and as a local with lots of options not my choice. Bottom line: There may be something that catches your eye here, worth a look.

Overpriced, very Limited stock compared to other stores in the area, unpredictable owner is there most of the time and have seen him go from friendly to mean and ranting at customers for no reason. Strange guy

This is a very OVERPRICED limited stock store that NO ONE should go to unless you don't mind getting YELLED AT every so often by the owner for doing NOTHING WRONG! Maybe if you don't have a car and there are no other convenient options and saving money isnt an issue and you have no choice you could go there. There are better liquor stores in town . Go to Crosby's or the Community store or Haley's or Shubies , at least you'll be treated decently and prices are often much better. The wine we buy is $6 more a bottle here and the one my friend buys is $8 more a bottle and these are very common wines . I try to spread around my business with local stores and have given this business hundreds of dollars over the years as have many others in my family only to have the owner GO OFF and YELL and BE RUDE just because something small happens like a lottery ticket is a month expired and you did not know or one sale out of 75 times shopping there, a credit card suddenly doesn't go through without having to change and use a different credit card or maybe you have four six packs of returns and he only wants to take three and he goes OFF after friendly interactions always. I have ignored this man losing it but now he has done this enough times over nothing and I'm done . The son is great but the owner seems psycho, like friendly always and suddenly he can't control himself and would rather lose a long-time customer then be able to be calm or handle a small insignificant issue reasonably and calmly. I can give my money to someone else without getting yelled at for nothing. Who needs that Crap when you're always treating him with kindness, respect and a smile. The guy seems like he's barely held together and that's intimidating in this day and age. Not okay....

Compared to other liquor stores I would probably give the store 2 or 3 stars, but context is key. The store is conveniently located in Village Plaza and has their own parking out front in a lot that is often crowded or full. If you've ever visited the other businesses in the surrounding area you can immediately appreciate the parking convenience. It's a small store, but they carry all of the essentials. If you're looking for a particular micro-brew or rare bottle of wine, I suggest looking elsewhere. The prices include the standard Marblehead inflation, but they're not much higher than other liquor stores on the North Shore. It's nice to know you're supporting a local business as well. Village liquors is a convenient, local business that is perfect if you're heading to a party and just need to grab a bottle of wine or a case of beer. Keep that in mind and you will not be disappointed.
