Had the most magical experience at the hotel Marblehead! Beautiful 3 story building built in the late 1800's has been updated. Staff is fantastic and so accommodating! They made my trip so easy and memorable! I will definitely be back!

Great experience! Friendly staff. Rooms are rustic but with modern amenities. TV was a bit dated though, bit barely spent time in room so didn't matter much. Close to Salem but wasn't too hectic.

Just returned home from a night at this hotel. The hotel is so adorable; it's like a little dollhouse. Upon entering, it was very clean, had a cozy feel and smelled like pumpkins. Our room wasn't ready as we arrived early but the woman in front was very nice and said she would call if our room was ready prior to check in time. The hotel isn't right in the center of the Salem action but it is only a quick 5 minute drive and it's actually nice to not be directly in the center because it's not as busy and it's more serene. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They offer freshly brewed coffee in the morning as well as fruit, yogurt, granola and some other light breakfast items. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be staying here if we come back to Salem again.

Stayed here for a few nights, and the customer service was great! They offer a small breakfast and were very sweet about showing me the ingredients on the food items. I am vegan and was only able to eat their bagels, jelly, coffee/juice, and fruit. They also have coffee water and tea downstairs for whenever you want. The front office usually closes around 6 or 8 PM so I would make sure to contact them if you plan to come later so they can leave your keys behind. They also kept our luggage after we checked out for since we had hours till our flight. The hotel was really peaceful and quiet. The only downside is that the rooms are stuffy and there is no ventilation. I would wake up with really bad sore throat from how dry it is inside. The TV is really fuzzy and old. Other than that it was a great stay and a beautiful hotel.

It is wonderful place where you can spend good time with your family or friends. It might be good idea to ride with the hotel's blue colored bicycle...

This is a nice hotel. The rooms are comfortable and they have great beauty products which is not that common. The check-in was ok, but overall there was not much service.Even breakfast was limited (but good quality) with nobody's around for something different. Also we got the room at the ground level which is inconvenient during breakfast (you have people eating right in front of your door).

Debbie, the manager goes above and beyond. She remembers what I like and what’s important to me every time I visit. It’s quaint. Very clean. Great location and comfortable. I highly recommend.

A quaint hotel in a great location. A short drive to Marblehead Neck and roughly 10 minutes from downtown Salem. The manager was attentive and made it clear she was always available to help.Fresh coffee was prepared in the morning as well as a small plate breakfast with some muffins, a fruit bowl and a couple other small items. More-so meant to be a small bite in the morning before a full meal.Walls are slightly thin, so you'll hear people in the lobby if you're on the ground floor, but other guests were very polite, so this wasn't an issue.

Loved our stay at Hotel Marblehead! Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Even though it was on the ground floor we did not get much noise from the lobby. Staff were communicative about check-in and gave suggestions for restaurants around Marblehead and Salem. It's a small operation, so guests are largely left to their own devices. Only ten minutes from downtown Salem, and even closer to historic Marblehead it was a great location.

This is worth every penny. Eliana and Devora made sure we were very happy. We arrived after hours and they left the key, all very easy. This is an old home from the 1800s. The decor is new and nautical. The rooms are fresh and clean. I have not slept this well in weeks, beds are amazing. Coffee and simple breakfast were tasty. Room 8 is a suite with a pull out sofa. 10 minutes from Salem. A motivated person could bike there. The ladies can point you in the right direction with ideas of what to do. You will not be disappointed!

We originally had a reservation at The Salem Hotel which ended up being over booked (despite multiple confirmation calls and bringing confirmation paper work). They placed us here at the Marblehead. The only reason this was done was because both these hotels have the same owner. We were promised compensation while they checked us in but they did not honor that. If you enjoy hearing everyone else in the hotel through the walls then this is your place. I do not recommend either of these places to stay.

I'll do the good, the bad, the ugly for this review. The good: The Hotel Marblehead was cute and offered some charm. It was clean. The shower was very large, had good hot water, and water pressure. The bad: You can hear everything going on in everyone's room. Doors were poorly hung leaving large gaps. Limited privacy due to sheer blinds on the windows leading out to walk ways. They give a "just put a bandaid on it" vibe in that there are broken windows, holes in walls, trash left from previous occupants. In our room, we had a previously used kcup left in the coffee pot, an unsecured shower rod that fell on my husband, and leftover party things stuck on the wall. The heat was auto set to 75 degrees, no matter how many times we tried to reset it to 70 or turn it off. At one point we tried the AC but it was dirty and dust flew everywhere. The breakfast was super cheap and very limited. We had two days with some mixed fruit, small costco pastry, and hardboiled eggs. One day, mixed fruit, a slice of bread, and yogurt. When they say small plate, they mean a small saucer. The shower shows signs of leaking, as the cabinets are all messed up and there were bubbles of fluid lining the top ceiling of the shower. Every night, we heard a constant dripping or tapping noise. The light in the bathroom flickered all the time. And the overhead light with the fan was burnt out. The couch is so sunk in, that it's terrible seating. The middle feels like it's going to cave in and the cushions were flat so you felt the metal bar of the pull out bed. They don't leave out any hot tea, creamer, or coffee cups overnight downstairs, and in our room, we had 1 decaf kcup and 1 herbal tea bag.The ugly: We requested no down items, as my husband is allergic. We understand that since we booked through a 3rd party, they didn't pass on the information but how The Hotel Marblehead responded when we found down pillows was horrific. We arrived late, so we were not checked in by anyone, they simply put our key in their mailbox with my husband's name on it. We get to the room and quickly realize that the pillows are down. My hubby calls the urgent line where Debbie 1st argues and says they aren't down. We undo the bedding to read the tag, which says "all new material consisting of white duck down". Then she tells us they have no other pillow options. She states she has to talk to her manager and gives a very "oh well" attitude. She calls us back and informs us that she can buy pillows in bulk, but it won't happen until the next evening. So for the first night we were essentially told we are SOL. We decided to go the 11 minutes down the road to Target, grab 4 pillows out of their limited selection (we grabbed the last 4 pillows they had), and called Debbie to let her know we had grabbed some. That was it. They didn't check us in the next day, they didn't check up on us, didn't stop by to make sure hubby was okay, didn't vacuum the floor, so we still found feathers and it made our stay terrible. They did absolutely nothing to try to fix any issue. Things were so bad, we left our stay 2 nights early. The clerk at the front desk said he would talk to management about refunding us something because we had to buy the pillows, but it's been over 24 hours and not a peep.Don't waste your money. This place was NOT worth the $419 a night we spent.

This is an okay Hotel, For the price I felt the rooms are dated. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and very friendly. We just felt a little bit deceived from the picture it doesn't show you that it's right on a main road and surrounded by a parking lot.

We enjoyed this quaint nautical hotel. Very comfortable accommodations, excellent location, and attentive to details. We loved riding the available bicycles just down the street to the center of Marblehead. Great value, excellent service
