This is a rare family-owned business. You just don't see them like this anymore. The chocolate is all made there and it is excellent.

Charming high quality chocolate shop that has a great variety of lovely treats. Staff was friendly and helpful but not well-versed on dietary restrictions. Like most gourmet foods, you get what you pay for, and these are delicious but not cheap.
Dietary restrictions: We were disappointed that the staff seem to not take our concerns about dietary restrictions seriously. They could do better.
Kid-friendliness: These are high-quality fine chocolates and not a candy store with children's candy.

There's a reason this place has been around 95 years. Their sweets are pricey but well worth the price you pay. The staff is helpful, and the place has a homey atmosphere.
Parking: Find a spot on the street.

I felt like a kid in a candy shop here. Everything looked so good here and I couldn't decide what to get. So I got a 2 lb box of chocolate and filled it up with almost every type of chocolate in the store. The 2 lb box cost $85 but is totally worth it. I filled it with some peanut butter cups, melt aways, turtles etc. If you are in Marblehead, definitely stop by here!
