Friends of the Marblehead Public Schools

Hours: Friends of the Marblehead Public Schools (Friends) is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that raises money to fund grants that enrich students’ experience in the Marblehead Public Schools. By channeling private money into the public schools from grades pre-K through 12, Friends supports projects and initiatives in athletics, the arts, curriculum development, student activities, and professional development. Since 1991, Friends has awarded over $2,000,000 in grants. Many projects that received initial funding from Friends have gone on to become self-sustaining “signature” programs, often mentioned by students as highlights of their experience in the school system.
