“I'm writing this review specifically to give kudos to Derek Rock who delivered a huge load of lumber to my house. Derek was put in a tough situation where the driveway where the delivery could be placed was needed for a dumpster instead. There were not many places to put the load for a small house on a small street. He was able to suggest out of the box ideas and was able to expertly and quickly place all the huge pallets that took up nearly every foot of available space on the front of my property. He was very careful to cause as little damage to our lawn and bushes as possible. I am very grateful for Derek and the care he treated my property as if it were his own. Thanks so much!”

“Best place around, what ever the Big outlets, dont carry ever or any more, this family owned place does, and more, if for some reason they don't have in stock, they will gladly help order it for you. Been regularly going there since they do carry whatever I can't find at the big dealers, and the sons are the most helpful and kindest dudes you will ever meet. “Rocky takes his job so seriously and truly cares for each and every person who goes through that store. He goes above and beyond for each person. I've been there a few times and he has been beyond helpful each time. I've never seen such quality customer service from a place before and especially from a paint store. They don't just treat you as if you're going to get some paint and then leave. They make it a personalized experience and helps ensure you get the perfect color and outcome that you're looking for. Jake has also been extremely helpful. Whatever you are paying them, it's not enough! This would have been stressful for me to pick out colors but thanks to Rocky, this has been a pleasurable experience! I hope this helps others when considering a place to go to for paint. Not only is the quality of the paint really good, but the employees are even better! And I hope management/higher ups see this too because they need to be recognized for their hard work and dedication and quality that they bring to each customer!!!”

We went in knowing they closed in ten minutes, assuming we would just have time to ask a few questions about a project we wanted to do. Rocky was immediately welcoming and ready to help. “My husband and I have been shopping at Chace Building Supply for nearly 30 years, and we always have a positive experience. Mark has worked with us on several projects. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Over the past couple of years, we have been renovating a multi-family home in Dorchester, and Mark has been especially helpful in working with our contractor on quotes, making product recommendations and setting up delivery to Boston at a very reasonable cost. When we needed to order replacement windows and sliding glass doors, Mark referred us to his colleague, Tom, who specializes in these products. Tom quickly got back to us with a quote, placed our order and set-up delivery. When one of the door handles arrived damaged from the factory, he immediately ordered a replacement from the manufacturer. He showed me his favorite colors. I thought that was great! Also, there is a woman that was into color choices and her recommendations. She was extremely helpful.”
