We purchased a fireplace insert and pellet stove from Kirley's. The overall experience was fantastic. They really care about the customer, provide very knowledgeable advice, and great follow up support to help you make the best of the products you purchase.

I recently purchased some special-order tile from Kirley, and an outdoor heater, and would like to express my appreciation for excellent customer service and follow-through.I initially reached out to Kirley because they were listed as a vendor for a particular type of tile that I was looking for. Joe, the manager, went above and beyond in helping me research all my options, getting various quotes for me, and facilitating the entire order and delivery process. When I mentioned that I have an outdoor space that I don't use in the wintertime, Joe suggested some options for outdoor heaters. He helped me choose something that was right in line with my budget and my needs.I learned that Kirley has been around for more than 60 years, and I can see why -- the company is extremely customer-centric, their associates are highly informed and professional, and there is complete transparency and honesty in their products and transactions.

Steer Clear of Kirley MasonryIn August of 2023, I purchased a Harman Pellet Stove from Joseph DeTrilio at Kirley Masonry. Kirley does not employ service technicians that can install, clean, or repair the stoves and I was advised that an outside company would be in touch with me to set up a time to install the stove. The installation company could not fit me into their schedule for several weeks so I hired my own company to the install. The installation went smoothly and because it was warm out, I did not immediately use the stove . As soon as I started using the stove, there was a loud, vibrating noise coming from the rear of the stove. I immediately contacted Joseph DeTrilio at Kirley Masonry and notified him in writing via email that the stove was making a loud, vibrating noise and I included a video of the stove making the noise. From there, everything went downhill. Joe had no interest in taking any responsibility whatsoever for fixing the stove that I spent over $ 5,000.00 on and was fully warrantied by the manufacturer . I got nothing but a run around from him for over three weeks. He would wait several days to reply to my emails and phone calls and say that he was shorthanded in the office and that he had been in contact with Harman to see what to do about it. Finally, after the three weeks of emailing and calling and getting nowhere with him, he offered to send someone to my house at night to look at the stove and when I asked why he must send someone at night, he said that this person has a full-time job and works all day and used to work for Kirley doing repairs. Since Joe was taking so long to fix my stove and I was not getting anywhere, I had contacted the installation company that I had used and they agreed to send someone out during regular business hours and when they arrived, they diagnosed the problem and fixed it. It turned out that a shelf was not properly secured and was missing a screw and it was making the vibrating noise . They installed the missing screw and the stove was fixed. When a customer spends over $5,000.00 on a product, the store that sold the product to them should stand behind the product and make every effort to fix the product. What I expected from Kirley that they would take my concerns seriously and offer to send a qualified technician out to fix the stove in a timely fashion during regular business hours, not send someone out at night time that has already worked all day and that works on the side fixing stoves. Instead, Joe acted like I was bothering him and he was hoping that I would go away and find someone else to fix the stove, which is what I did. I also ordered 2 tons of pellets from Kirley and paid for them in full the day I ordered them and was told that they would be delivered in 2 weeks’ time. Four weeks later when I had not received my pellets, I cancelled my order. The day I cancelled my pellet order, Joe started yelling at me on the phone and blaming me for the cancelled order and accused me of being impatient with him and he said that the pellets would have been delivered in a few days’ time. Unfortunately, after waiting for four weeks, I just not wait any longer and did not want to continue to do business with this company. Had he delivered the pellets on time ( which was in two weeks’ time, not four weeks), I would not have cancelled my order .In hindsight, I should have researched other Harman dealers that employ their own service technicians. If you are looking for a Harman stove, find another dealer that is interested in your business, employs their own service technicians and treats their customers with respect. Too bad there is not an option to give a zero-star review, because that is what Kirley Masonry deserves.

These guys are fantastic, very professional and friendly people. Joe helped me find a pellet stove for my house and I love it! I previously purchased a fire pit about 2 years ago. Very happy with that experience too! Shop local and make sure you stop by Kirley, great people and store!

BUYER BEWARE!My wife and wanted to purchase a pellet stove, but were having a difficult time finding a business that not only sold them, but installed them. We were also on a budget, so you can imagine how happy we were when we found Kirley Masonry because they sold and installed them, and through emails with the salesman, they had one in our price range. We took the trip to Mansfield and purchased the stove, and the salesman Joe was all handshakes and smiles. We were given a date for the evaluation to make sure it would work in our home, and a date for the installation. This is where the happiness ends. After a postponement of two weeks for the eval, (no explanation given), the eval was done and the subcontractor came on 9/11/22 to install it.My wife and I have never had a pellet stove, and had no clue on how to operate it, but we were assured by Joe, (the happy salesman), that the installers would go over all of that with us.That did not happen. When I requested the installer show me how to use it, he replied, "I have no idea, I have never seen this model before")"Just read the directions", he told me. While my jaw was still on the floor, he also stated that in the future if we needed service on the stove, he would be the one who would come and do it. Now I'm no genius, but I wonder how would he service a stove that he doesn't know how to operate?I called the store and told Joe what had happened and he replied that they should have shown me, and chastised the subcontractor.I asked if ANYONE could show us how to properly use it, and Joe stated that they were too busy, but he could come either the end of that week, or the week after.I never heard another word from Joe.I then made the mistake of ordering their overpriced pellets. I was told a three to four week delivery. That was the week of September eleventh.Four weeks came and went, and not a word from Kirley Masonry. I called to find out what was going on, and the woman on the phone said that they had been busy, and that their truck had broken down, and there were quite a few customers ahead of us and had no idea when we would get themIt has been six weeks now, and My wife called today. This time, they told her that the pellets were on backorder, that they didn't have any. This has been a nightmare experience with a company that offers ZERO customer service.BUYER BEWARE

Great customer service!!!!.. I purchased a Harmon stove from Curly’s 15 years ago. Well finally a part needed to be replaced. After 15 years of 24/7 used in colder months. On Saturday/they close by 1 PM I drove up from Rehoboth to pick up the In stock part (Auger motor). Of course me running late. I pulled over and called to let them know I wouldn’t make it by closing. I offered to pay over the phone with my credit card and ask them to leave the part outside by the door. The person over the phone reassuringly chuckled and told me not to worry someone would be there for me “take your time” Wow!!!Can you say stress and anxiety relief?on my arrival they took the time to talk me through the installation and other possible causes of my problem if not the motor. With no hurry to push me out the door mind you. As one mite expect. We use our pellet stove as primary source of heat in the winter .In this day and age it’s tough to find a business or service when the customer needs actually came first.(they were under no obligation to wait around for me ) . As a consumer and someone was in the service industry this was big!!! Unfortunately it is more common to have a negative experience then a positive one When dealing with a situation like mine.. kudos to Curly’s!!!! Ps. They will politely listen to you ramble as I did quite a bit of that.?♂️????

Called multiple time trying to get a quote for a stand alone wood burning stove and got no where with them. Times must be really good for them. At first with an existing stove and they pushed us off onto someone else totally fine with that. When we discovered that we would not be able to use the existing stove we called back about a new stove and instalation. STILL WAITING after emails and phone calls. Time to try the competition maybe they need some business.

Kirley Stove & Masonry showed up for the estimate appointment an hour early with no notice. Glad someone was home. A week went by after Kirley looked at the job and we did not hear back from them. Nothing! We called and Eric Kirley tells us the subcontractor he sent over never gave him the job information. I asked him why this is and he's states "I take over a hundred calls a day and can't keep track". So, this outfit obviously has a big communication problem and on top of that uses subcontractors to do their work. That leaves the homeowner with no recourse if the jobs are not installed properly. They will just blame it on the subcontractor. After that, I would never hire this unprofessional company and can’t recommend that you do.

Just spoke to the receptionist and asked if they deliver wood pellets. Oh yes we deliver everywhere. Sure where do you live Dorchester oh no we don’t deliver there. I think because we live in Dorchester that was a little racial bias!! Granite Ave exit 1 mile down the road plenty of parking. Think again before you talk to customers. You never know who your talking to

Been using Kirley for my pellet purchases for 3 years now. Always courteous and helpful staff/customer service. Had a small mix up with delivery this year that was quickly fixed by Eric. Highly recommend Kirley!
