They legit saved my cat’s life 4 years ago when they amputated his leg after he developed sarcoma. He is still alive today and thriving on 3 legs.

This is one of the worst money grabbing vets in New England. They do not put the animal first. I spent almost $3000. on my 17 year old cat. They refuse to give her the refill of thyroid medication without more blood test so I agreed. They also promised me to put her on a series of antibiotic for her bleeding but they wont give her the antibiotic without more testing. I refused the test she has been going there for almost two years and had every test known to man done. Without the refill of thyroid medication I'm going to have to put her down. She could still live a healthy life but I cannot afford to keep testing her over and over again for the same symptoms.

If I could give them 20 stars, I would. This place and these people are GOD SENDS. My two little dogs are my whole world and they have taken such incredible care of them, I have cried out of gratitude. I moved here from out of state and I couldn’t get in any vet for months. When my one dog needed potentially emergent surgery they squeezed her in the next day and we have been going there ever since. I love these people and am so incredibly grateful for them.

I would give this vet zero stars if I could. We took our dog here for 2 years because she kept getting recurrent UTI’s. Each time the vet would recommend antibiotics but refused to do additional testing, even after the dog’s 3rd and 4th UTI in a span of 6 months. Our new vet looked over her record and it seems that twice when she was put on antibiotics, she didn’t even have UTI bacteria present in the test. WHY on earth would you put a dog on antibiotics if there’s no infection present?! There is NO reason my dog should have been on antibiotics four times with no additional testing. After the last round of antibiotics were given, the vet (without any additional testing) suggested we switch her food because it “might” have been causing UTI’s, and then tried to upsell us on expensive food that Pine Banks retails (of course). We finally convinced them to order a full lab test in October and were promised we would receive a call back once the results were in. We switched vets in May, at which time the dog’s records were sent over and the lab test results from November were missing. We finally were able to get the results (in September, almost a year after the lab test) last week. There is NO reason we should have had to follow up with this office as much as we did for those test results, and I’m shocked that Pine Banks never called us to give us the results. We finally have a good vet who has diagnosed our dog with bladder stones. My dog suffered needlessly because this office is the opposite of proactive. I worry for all of the Melrose residents who are giving their money and putting their trust in this facility. Please please get a second opinion if the information this vet gives you doesn’t sound right!!!

My dog loves going to this vet. Staff, Doctors and Nurses are very kind and caring, we just moved to Massachusetts and it was very easy to transfer his medical records. He was treated as if he was always a patient of them. I highly recommend them, now we go there not only for medical assistance but also for grooming services, it is always a pleasant experience.

I have a cat that hates her bimonthly vet visit, the staff adore her and always treat her well, they gave us some medicine to calm her for her appointments and she's much better now. They're great at explaining her care to us and making sure we are doing what is best for our pet. Thanks to everyone who works there!!p.s. they're also incredible at scheduling... always manage to fit us in whenever we need.

We feel so taken care of by the whole staff here, from reception to the techs and the docs. They always take time to answer questions, get back to us if we need it, and make recommendations explaining the pros and cons of each.

They were wonderful with my anxious husky. The staff was amazing and helpful. I ve had poor experiences at my previous vet, so I was a little anxious, and they were all so kind.

The staff there was very helpful and did a great job with my anxious husky. He's a big boy and the staff were great with him. I've had poor experiences at a previous vet, so I was so happy when everything went well. Everyone was so kind to me and my dog.

Front page of website says "Pet emergency? Read no further and call us right away". I call and am told they don't in fact handle emergency cases. Might want to rethink your website, is misleading.
