Such great information and help from.. all the staff here. If you have an elderly loved one I definitely recommend calling this outfit. They will help navigate everything for you. They helped us tremendously to understand all of the options and choose the best selection for our mother.

Update: So the case worker never called but a nurse came to re-evaluate the situation. We'll see if any of the promised assistance comes through this time, but I'm not holding my breath.Worse than useless. The intake care manager promised all sorts of services - a home health aide, meals on wheels, etc etc. However, she made it clear that, because his had actual money in the bank, he wouldn't qualify for Mass Health and that he should plan on using VA services instead. Literally, anything greater than $0 and you can't qualify for Mass Health in Massachusetts. Utterly worthless. Right? WRONG. That was false. Come to find out, Mass Health kicks in when you have $30,000 or less. The last time I checked, $30,000 is greater than $0. If you have $10 in the bank, and live on a fixed income, and you're not Bill Gates, then you should apply for Mass Health. We found this out the hard way, after a hospitalization. During which time, meals on wheels, offered only through Mystic Valley, was put on pause. But it turns out that was wrong too. Meals on wheels - the only ongoing service Mystic Valley apparently provides other than incorrect, and harmful, financial advice - was cancelled. Multiple messages to try and resume service went unreturned. Mystic Valley shouldn't get a dime of tax payer money.

They claim they help adults with disabilities Until you call them and they tell you it’s a myth. Being 52 with Stage 4 cancer and Low income on SSDI & they say you have to be at least 60 for there services.Nothing like dying of cancer malnutrition and loneliness thanks Mystic Valley.

This group is super helpful and knows exactly where to refer you. I needed help with my elderly parents who have challenges including diabetes and COPD. They have made arrangements for a nurse to come in and vaccinate my Dad for COVID, gotten them in touch with an agency that got them fuel assistance and gotten them assistance with groceries. Can’t say enough good things about them.

We chose this agency to help with housework and laundry for my elderly mother. Most of the workers that come to my moms are young and totally unskilled. They don’t even know how to make a bed or fold laundry. I have banished more than one young lady due to lack of basic housekeeping skills. Dealing with management and social workers is not much better. Customer service and communication are also seriously lacking. You’ve got to drag the information out of these people. I would not recommend this agency to anybody.
