I was able to order the most beautiful Urn arrangement for my nana! Martins was able to take my vision of white roses and purple and make it the most stunning! he worked with me and my budget!! also! he was able to deliver it the same day, no questions asked and made sure it was perfect and fresh!!!!!

My girlfriend's sister passed away suddenly and the wake was being held in Malden, MA. After looking at the positive reviews posted online for Martin's Florist & Greenhouse (which is located close to the funeral home), I personally went to the establishment a few days before the wake in order to order flowers on behalf of my girlfriend, her children and myself. I explained to the sole person there that appeared to be the owner ( Dan, a gentleman in his late 60's) exactly what I wanted to order...The Magnificent Life Spray...from the actual website of Martin's Florist & Greenhouse. We went over all of the specifics of the arrangement..." A gorgeous white and green standing spray with an array of green roses, green carnations, white gladioli, white stock, white cushion spray chrysanthemums, and bells of Ireland, accented with green ti leaves, spiral eucalyptus and lemon leaf". The owner however stated that he may have to substitute white snap dragons for some of the gladioli because the gladioli may not be opened enough to give the arrangement the full effect. He assured me that if he had to substitute with the snap dragons that the arrangement would look as good, if not better, than the picture on his website. The dimensions of the standing arrangement are listed as 58 1/2" in height and 29"in width. Feeling assured, I placed the order, prepaid for it, and gave him the details of the service. A few days later, when we arrived at the funeral home (an hour before the wake was to start) I was dismayed to discover that the arrangement that I had ordered had not been delivered. After paying my respects, I discovered that an arrangement had actually been delivered in our names but it was not anything close to what I had ordered and paid for. What was delivered was a much smaller, inferior "basket" with white carnations and what looked like purplish-blue hydrangeas. After excusing myself, I went outside and called the owner of Martin's to inquire whether the arrangement that I had ordered would be delivered before the wake actually started. The owner acknowledged the conversation that we had a few days earlier, stated that "mistakes happen" but that he would not be delivering any other flowers that afternoon. He offered to send a plant or bouquet to my girlfriend's house the next day, but he would not offer any refund or any other form of reparation. I stated that this was unacceptable. The arrangement received was not even worth half of the arrangement that I paid for. I informed him that if he would not deliver what I had ordered, he could pick up the "basket" that he had delivered and that I would dispute the charge on my credit card. He then became dismissive and stated that "they" had been in business for 80 years and that he really didn't care. He once again stated that "these things happen". I later was informed that he had also grossly mishandled another family member's floral order as well for that same wake. I have never written a negative review before in my life, but I could not let the blatant incompetence, unprofessionalism and callousness of the owner of Martin's Florist & Greenhouse go unchecked. I would give Martin's Florist & Greenhouse zero stars if I could...STAY AWAY FROM THIS FLORIST!!!

I grew up in Malden and my parents still live in Malden and they did a great job on my mom's funeral arrangements back in March 2023 .I would recommend them highly great job. Thank you.

Friendly staff and healthy flowers at Martins. I've always felt confident about the bouquets they put together and have gotten comments on how long the flowers lasted for after I had gifted them.

One snowy day last month I made a rare trek from Las Vegas to Boston to inter the ashes of my mother with her daughter who passed away nearly 60 years ago. On my way to the cemetery, alone, I happened upon this florist and stoped in for some flowers. The gentleman (assume it was Martin himself) not only picked out a lovely bouquet of flowers that ironically were some of my mothers favorites — but then refused to take any money for them.I was truly touched by this gesture from a complete stranger… and it gives me true hope that there’s still humanity in humans.If you stop through and see them, tell them their friend from Las Vegas says hello.

I got the most beautiful fresh flowers There And paid almost half the price of Stop & Shop. The place is a real florist shop. And they've been around for almost 80 years And they've been around for almost 80 years. They really know what they're doing and they know what Kind of arrangement to make for any situation.
