Don’t rent a car from this place if you are an urgent. On 08/29/2024 I reserved the car from Hertz website in the morning around 9:48 for 11 am pickup and got the confirmation number. When I went there for pickup, the staff told me that he couldn’t rent the car for me coz I made reservations for same day. Then I rented the car at enterprise from commercial street, Malden after I got out from Hertz and able to rent immediately. I highly recommended Enterprise car rental from Malden if you need a car urgently.

The people here will have you wait hours before actually helping you. Worst customer service EVER. I am normally not the type to leave bad reviews but the audacity of them to see you come in & sit there & say nothing. I would NOT recommend this place.

Rented a vehicle from this location and had a very positive experience. Blake and Ricky went over and above to get s car for me that I was comfortable driving. I really appreciated their assistance to accommodate me.
Would definitely go back and rent from Hertz in Malden!!!

They literally stole 945$ from my bank, and they said they don't care. I returned my car on time, but they put the wrong returned date on my receipt and even charged me for penalty .... ?

Added unknown $600 charges to my bank account 4 times, months after the rental. And the rental was only supposed to be $250/week. Worst customer service and staff is very unprofessional, unhelpful, and to be honest very unacceptable. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worse enemy. Plenty of other rental places around, thank me later

I've been here 8-10 times and this place is rough. Though I'll start by saying if you get there at a lucky quiet time and have a reservation, they're pretty standard.
Otherwise, I have never had to wait so long on average for a car, either with not enough staff helping customers or not enough cars and having to get them from somewhere else. It's also the only Hertz I've ever been to where having a reservation as a President's Circle member meant nothing, and it was first come first serve regardless. They get a lot of customers with no reservations or coming from accidents which slows down the process.
I've also had numerous cars given with no windshield wiper fluid, low gas, low car remote battery, not cleaned with trash still inside...the list goes on. Enterprise is generally better in the Boston area.

Absolutely Disappointed with the management and the customer service from Hertz-Malden.I wanted a convinent vehicle for the weekend and was in a strict time constraints, however due to the management negligence, i end up loosing my time just to fix and exchange my newly rented vehicle. Never renting out at this Hertz location for sure.The issue was low tire pressure which i had to request them to fix, when clearly was flashing in the screen and supposedly nobody bothered to take care of it until i brought up. They did a quick fill up, which lost all its air in about 15 min from leaving the lot. I went back to the location and realized it was closed a little early, with other stranded customers aswell who were coming to pick up their vehicle. Extremely disappointed customers including me. Then had to call road side assistance to get the donut and run to airport location to exchange this vehicle. Please note all this hassle with a newly rented vehicle the first hour.Turns out there was a nail which was causing the leak, they did never bothered to fix the cause, when clearly there was loud leak noise as per the Roadside Assistant. They did a quick job of topping off the air and letting me on the road hoping light will come only after a while and will be my problem then after.I was also not satisfied with the cleanliness of the vehicle, bread crumbs and dirts all over the center console and side of the carpet.Kudoss to Hertz at Logan Airport, being so kind and helping me resolve this issue.I sincerely want to get the management attention to this and take such issue seriously. I am willing to co-operate and will reach out to higher authorities on Monday.

This Hertz always takes forever to get a car. I usually end up waiting over a hour each time I need a rental from here. The service is nice but they need more help at the desks.

Really unclear to me with all the negative reviews of this place. (almost made me re-consider). Overall excellent service, fantastic clean car, and very nice/professional staff. Would and likely will 100% rent from here again

I rented a car from the Malden Hertz office and was very happy with my experience. Although they were busy, I was seen promptly.The manager explained the plate pass but I decided to use my ezpass transponder instead. I used some Scotch tape to hold it on the windshield. I added the car's plate to my ezpass account for the rental dates.Although I had requested a Maxima, that wasn't available but I was very happy with an Acura ilx.He took photos of the condition of the car and emailed them to me before I left.I returned the car and my deposit was credited. I'll rent here again.
