Our daughter attended her first day care experience at the YMCA. It’s affordable and a great start to get the ball rolling. I am amazed at the quality of staff and their attentiveness.
Iris the director, is quick with responses in regards to childcare concerns/ updates. I also appreciate the attention to detail to make drop off easier for the littles and parents!

Terrible gym/court experience. My kids came home upset today complaining about how some “adults” are taking over the basketball court everyday afternoon to play basketball and they don’t let anyone but their own friends play and get on the court. This is not fair for the kids and for the parents that pay a monthly membership for their kids to come and have fun and play basketball after school. This is very disappointing, my kids have been going to the ymca for the past 3 years and something like this hasn’t happened before, the YMCA staff and management needs to do something about this to make it fair for the people and kids!

Very rude worst customer service I ever have ,I have monthly membership I took my kids to pool someone ? vomit there, I asked them to use line pool they usually open 2 line when it's crowded they said no we will clean the pool with in half hour I waited there for almost an hour I asked them again they said pool will be open at 4:15 pm means I have to wait another hour I asked her why u didn't told me that after I waited that long she said sorry rudely and she continued playing in her phone , went to the front disk to ask to cancel my membership they were avoiding talking to me and send me to each other at the end I have to pay for another month after having deal with all this rudely customer service . Not good advise to anyone to take ur kids there place is not the cleaest and they are extremely rude.
* also girl was puring chemical into the pool with out any gloves or protection this kind of ppl careless about themselves they won't pay attention for u or ur kids .

ATTENTION ANY ADULT THINKING OF USING THIS GYM: STAY AWAY.
The adult locker rooms have been used less than four years but are closed and under renovation. I get it; the contractor did a poor job and they need to redone . You gotta do what you gotta do.
But they tell you that you can change in these temporary huts and use the showers in the pool instead. I did this, and will never return until they get renovated locker rooms. The pool area is hot, humid, and stuffy, which is okay if you are swimming wearing a skimpy suit but is not okay if you are clothed and trying to change. They don't even give you a chair to sit on, so you have to hop around and stand on one leg while you put on your pants and socks. Horrible experience and shows their disrespect toward their members. No mirror either so my hair was a mess, and the only showers are the ones in the public pool area. Forget about soap.
They say you can use the girls' and boys' locker rooms only for storage. It's unclear whether you can change in there, plus there are still signs on the door saying that you must be 14 or younger to use it. It's way to awkward for me to disregard those signs.
Don't bother coming here unless you want to arrive and leave in the same clothes you came in and not shower. Even then I wouldn't bother, as the behavior of many members here is annoying. Groups hogging a piece of equipment; members hogging more than one piece of equipment at a time. They do these things even when it's busy. Cleanliness has always been a problem here. Lynn Y doesn't know how to take care of the facilities and I'm not sure they care. The main upside now is if it is less crowded due to no locker rooms, maybe it's now easier to use the equipment.
Salem in nice despite the meter parking situation and the members are cool. They have both a steam room and a sauna, and they maintain it well. I recommend going there instead.
