At this point, I'd rather work with them and get what my wife wants rather than try to find a pre-made piece. Prices are reasonable - you do not pay the premium you would at, say, Tiffany's.”

Javier was extremely helpful (and patient with me) as I came back to the store twice afterwards to make my final selection. “Brought my vintage timex watch here to have the battery changed. Where other jewelers have struggled to open the delicate backing in the past, Ocean Time had no trouble with it at all. (I’ve actually had to have the backing replaced after previous jewelers have damaged it while trying to get it open). It was done in moments, and I mean literal seconds, and was charged a small/reasonable price of $25. Upon walking away and putting on my watch, the strap broke. I walked back and had the strap changed too. It was so quick and was only charged $15. I highly recommend this little kiosk to anyone. Staff was helpful, kind, and so fast!”

“This is primarily a shop that displays an impressive number of clocks for sale, and repairs clocks and watches. The gentleman and his wife who own the shop are old school, very charming, and very helpful. The owner/watch-clock repairman only changed my watch battery on the spot for $15, which is a fair price around here. And on a Sunday afternoon at that. But far more interesting and entertaining was conversation with other customers who were there for clocks and were obviously repeat customers. A first-rate place and conveniently located.”

“Joseph Gann Jewelers is the best. We have worked with Matt Gann since 2010 on 4 rings: An heirloom blue sapphire and ruby that were each set into pre-existing settings and (a decade later) a tourmaline and white sapphire that were set into custom mounts. Each of these rings are beautiful and the finished product suits each stone perfectly. I cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Matt Gann: He is the epitome of trust and courtesy; we have never felt rushed through the selection process; and when we brought in less conventional gemstones for setting (a huge tourmaline and a white/blue-gray sapphire) there was a great feeling of collaboration and mutual respect. Without needing to say much, Matt understood our vision as well as what would likely be to each gemstone's advantage. I receive tons of compliments on my tourmaline ring (from 2021) The setting had to be designed and made from scratch to accommodate the stone. The result is stunning. Don't be afraid to go custom! It's worth it! When we picked up our most recent collaboration earlier this month (a white sapphire ring in an art-deco style) I was overwhelmed with joy...it was gorgeous and much more opulent than I expected. I wear all four rings from Joseph Gann on regular 'rotation' and with each one so different from the other, it's hard to believe that they come from the same jeweler. However, there is one thing common to them all: Outstanding Quality. We are so pleased to have Joseph Gann as our jeweler and look forward to working with Matt Gann again in the near future.”

“Two weekends ago my brother and I walked into Tourneau, he wanted to get my opinion on a watch during my visit from Washington, DC. We were greeted by Sanaz, she helped my brother locate the watch he wanted to show me. I knew he didnt have an intention of buying since he likes to take his time. Little did I know that my intention of not buying a watch either was going to cease to exist.I started talking about watches with Sanaz and it kicked off from there. I told her the watch I have been longing for and waiting at the local watch store back in DC. We went off on a tangent talking about apparel and fashion. It was one of those great chats you have with someone in retail that you dont experience as often after the pandemic changed the shopping experience to a more virtual one. We were heading out and Sanaz called me back, she surprised me with the watch I have been longing for, and told me it can be mine. I could not believe it and I still cant believe it till now!
