They charge so much. Next year I’ll try Turbo. My tax prep has been Donna a few years. A few years ago, the numbers didn’t add up when I asked about why the price was super high. There is no upfront pricing. I was told to come in to find out what the prices would be to file my taxes. I was charged $360 for tax prep by Donna and an additional $39 for my own money that belonged to me to be transferred into my back account. For a total of $399. Basically The process took 15 min and I was charged nearly $400. According to Donna, each form I fill out costs money. So I’m sure my case fits most ppl: Long story short my criteria is I am the head of household with 3 children and qualified for the child income tax credit like most. I was charged that much. Service was pleasant. But the price seems out of hand. Can anyone else post their total? I believe I’m being overcharged for this.
