This bank is horrible. Came in at 3:00 pm. Sat there for an hour it’s 4:15. I need a new card and they are about to close at 5:00. I have class at 5 just came from work wasted the whole hour now I have to go straight to school no food no changing clothes nothing. Worse bank

Sitting at the drive through for 25 min unacceptable js….. got in line only 1 car ahead of me and it took a ridiculous amount of time to attend to the drive through not cool I will make sure to go to Market Street before 4 because they are always fast

My mom had a checking and savings account with Eastern for years. After she passed away, they informed me they had to lock the accounts, so I stopped all auto-payments from the accounts, went to the Natick branch with a death certificate and closed her accounts. Months later I started getting bills and late fees because an auto-payment was paid out against a 0 balance account, so now we have an over-draft loan. I told them it was an unauthorized payment against a CLOSED account. After 30 minutes on the phone with their customer service, they said the accounts were not closed and they had no record of the death certificate, so I should go back to the branch with another death certificate. I told them the nearest branch was 40 minutes away and they needed to sort it out. She said she'd explain to her supervisor who would call me. Never happened. A couple weeks later I called in again and explained the situation. Again it took 30 minutes of holds and connects, but this time they had found the record of the certificate, but could not close the accounts because of the debt. She was nice and said she'd explain it to her supervisor who would call me to resolve. Again, never happened, so I wrote the story up in the online support portal. The response: they'll call to resolve. Never happens. I do get a call every 2 weeks from their collections department. I explain the story. They look up the notes, apologize, and agree someone from the customer service department is supposed to call. So the loop continues and I still get bills with increased late payments.

Worst bank ever a Teller working there deposit my money in other account that isn't not mine I do know how they are going to fix it.

Unless you know Courtney is working the drive thru, go inside of the bank. When the 2nd car in line, it shouldn't take 15 minutes. If the cause is a customer, who doesn't have their crap together, they should be told to go inside.

I went there today. The teller didn’t know what to do exactly then she asked for help, that woman helping was completely rude, she talked to me with attitude because I was asking some questions. Wish I could give 0 stars.

ATMs are almost always temporary out of service. Hours will be posted online then you make your way there and their closed. Even though other eastern banks remain open with better hours.

Yesterday I tried to make a deposit into my account through the ATM, the machine took the checks, cancelled my transaction kept my checks and gave me a message like sorry contact your bank. Something similar to this had happened to me before at a different bank and it took me months to fix. So you probably could imagine the anxiety I was feeling when this happened again, especially now during a pandemic when most banking services are done through appointment only. I was very lucky yesterday when a young man named Cesar, a Service Associate for Eastern, came out to lobby and assisted me. He couldn’t do much yesterday because I’m sure there are certain procedures involved with the ATM machines when they malfunction that need to be followed, but he did assure me that he would make sure if the ATM did malfunction he would notify the the Associate who deals with it, and they would correct the problem. I’m very happy to report he did just that. Cesar and Associate like him are why I have been a customer Eastern Bank for 26 years, and plan on remaining one. I’m very grateful that he that he was their to help me, and Eastern Bank is lucky to have him as an employee.

I was just there and a security guard wouldn't let me get thru the drive thru service although it was 3:45 and only 3 cars in one window and 4 on the other, as a business customer i feel totally disappointed, i needed to make my deposit in order to pay my employees,I understand that this situation has us all making changes but as a bank i would've expected more of a solidarity service. thanks for nothing, as soon as this is all over ill take my business elsewhere. (also the guard was rude and extremely careless)
