DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK!I have had an open dispute about a fraudulent charge since July. I have received multiple letters and emails from Eastern asking for additional information, but the information I am asked for was the information I provided during the opening of my dispute. At one point, I went into an Eastern Branch, had the customer service rep explain to me what was needed, provided the needed documents to him, and literally watched him scan and upload the documentation to my case. However, I still get correspondence from Eastern asking for the same information with no resolution in sight.After several phone calls, I was able to ascertain that the information they needed was NOT the information they were asking for, but a separate document, an itemized receipt showing the incorrect total. The entire basis of my complaint was that the vendor did NOT provide an itemized receipt justifying overcharges. When I asked how I can provide documentation that has never existed, Eastern's response was simply that they can't file a dispute. I had already provided documentation to them proving there was an unexplained difference between quoted price and what they charged, but Eastern did not care. They knowingly and actively assisted a vendor in committing fraud against me.

Horrible treatment for commercial lending. No help through COVID when my business was shut down then my interest rate increased but was not reflected on my statement for 4 MONTHS but somehow I was supposed to imagine the correct amount to pay?? I'm giving two stars because the Sr. VP I had was horrible but she went on vacation and I had another Sr. VP who was decent so maybe I just was just unlucky!

Terrible customer service. No help provided. Waiting over a month, with repeated phone calls and emails all that went unanswered. Highly suggest banking elsewhere.

Had a tiny heating loan that was autopay. Covid hits and they stopped sending notices and there was an issue with the autopay I did not see. Branches closed and phones swamped.Found out, Fixed it. 30 year customer and they reported to credit.Called tried to sort it out and got canned response, I would stay away. Since the change in ownership this Bank is not the same.

I gave them **** because they are very nice and they made my airplane loan. They are in the 20th century though. 1. They require a hard copy of an EFT form and cancelled check MAILED 2. They still mail statements. No e-statements. 3. If I send the payments electronically they charge me $1.50/M; if they pull them it's free. Maybe I will have my bank mail a check which is more expensive to process. If it were my company to run, I would take a look at Chase or a local credit union. I am just saying. So for my banking-I went with Chase and a local California FCU. As an airplane lender, I would borrow from them-they made it easy and their rates were very fair. The Plane is for Sale BTW. I called the Eastern Bank 800 number and the person i spoke with was snappy, rude and NO HELP!!! The next day I went to the Eastern Bank on Market Street in Lynn. I went to the teller with questions. She told me to go sign in and wait for someone to assist me. I didn't even make it to the sign in station when a young woman by the name of *Nermana Colic* brought me right over to her office. Immediately she made me feel comfortable and told me to call her Mana. I had some personal questions that i wasn't sure if she would be able to help me with. She not only helped me but she wasn't judgemental, she was very understanding, kind, professional, and went above and beyond my expectations!!! Mana does her job and shows that she cares about the customers!!! Im writing this review hoping that Eastern Bank takes notice that they have an amazing employee. Thank you *Mana Colic* for all your help!!!

They don't work on Sunday, that's the only thing. If they open on Sunday that would be wonderful.

I have always gotten excellence customer service, particularly from customer support, in person and by phone. Never had problems with tellers. I had a complicated direct deposit issue after closing one account & opening another. They checked daily to flag & redirect 2 deposits into the new accountBeen with this branch for 9 years.
