Pet Care

Linwood Animal Hospital: Mccarthy Richard E DVM
1500 Gorham St, LowellI highly recommend Linwood to anyone! Dr. Vasilakis was excellent and so were all of the staff. Our little Zoey had an ear infection and didn't like getting her checked out or having to get a shot. But Dr. Vasilakis and the techs were amazing with her and made her feel comfortable. Thank you so much!

Merrimack Animal Hospital
151 Stedman St, LowellI have nothing but appreciation and trust in this place. I can not tell you how many times the veterinarian has took us in last minute and made sure we get our babies treatment ! One of my cats is very territorial and doesn’t like strangers at all so when I come here I know it’s going to be a show haha but Dr. Mian is always to the rescue even with her craziness. I genuinely do feel safe and comfortable when I come here. I get nothing but great treatment from Sherri, who can sure calm you down and make you laugh haha and Dr. Mian, who says it like it is and doesn’t sugar coat things, which I do appreciate! As far as prices go, I don’t find it to expensive. Honestly depends on what you have to get done. I can’t and won’t compare to other places because I have never been anywhere else !
Ps. I know Dr. Mian and Sherri are going to laugh and be shocked at how my baby cheesecake is so laid back and calm at home ???❤️

Pet Sitting & Training

Crazy Canines, Inc.
1088 Gorham St, LowellI love Crazy Canines for day care and training! I've trusted them with my beloved dog for years and I know he's in good hands when he's there. The staff is patient and loving and Tony is a fantastic trainer. He keeps training simple and focuses on rewarding your dog for good behavior, not punishing your dog for bad behavior. I had an extremely difficult foster dog who wouldn't listen and didn't understand No and Tony gave me great advice on how to manage him, which I was able to do for several more weeks until he got adopted. Stop looking elsewhere, just bring your pup to Crazy Canines.

Brew'd Awakening Coffeehaus
61 Market St, LowellLeaving a review for Brew'd is long overdue.
I used to go here every single day, but the only reason I don't now is because I drive a truck across the country as my job now. However, anytime I'm back in town, one of my first visits is here.
By now I have now visited many other cafes and the usual corpo coffee places, but nobody else does it like Brew'd. I keep it simple. A light roast coffee with hazelnut and oatmilk. Idk if it's where they source their beans from, or how the prepare it, but it (almost) always is the perfect cup. I will admit, a few times I have had some coffee that wasn't as good as it should be, but I don't really complain much. Sometimes it happens.
I also really love the Hawaiian mochi. Can't go wrong with a BLT, the Fancy Grilled Cheese, or the acai bowl either.
The atmosphere is really nice. They've always got some nice art on the walls, and good music playing. Space wise, it is a little small, but it is in an old building and you have to make do with what you got, though in the warmer months they have outdoor seating.
Ever since I found this cafe, I have been a loyal customer, and I believe I will be for as long as I can be in the area. Highly recommend. And if you only had them one time and/or you've gotten a coffee that wasn't quite right, give them another chance, or try a different drink or variation. I'm sure there's something you'll love here.

Lowell Humane Society
951 Broadway St, Lowell1 year ago on June 30th 2023 after an unexpected illness, it became necessary to put my cat down. It was a very painful time for both my kitty and me. Lowell Humane Society made our last moments together beautiful. My little girl was calm and unafraid. They prepared a special place for me to see and hold my beautiful girl after she crossed over. I held her, kissed her, took a long last look and took a picture of her at peace instead of in pain. Everyone was so kind and respectful. Thank you Lowell Humane Society! I am forever grateful!
