Sonia is wonderful and attentive! She was able to complete two of my bridesmaid dresses in about 2.5 weeks. The dresses and alterations were excellent. She is so kind as well!

Please do not take your wedding dress here. Throughout the entire process, I felt like Sonia did not listen to what I was seeing or wanting in alterations. Sonia had my dress for four months but barely any changes were made until the two weeks before my wedding. When she claimed it was finished, the dress was still too big but the open back was gaping (she took in an open back dress from the sides not from the back). She also tried to debulk the top of the front of the dress but left one side much bigger than the other. She kept insisting that it looked good but I never felt uglier. I said the dress was still too big and she said absolutely nothing could be done about it. I felt like she was gaslighting me and I ended up having a breakdown in front of her to which she responded to not worry so much. This was the week before my wedding.
I took my dress to a secondary tailor the week of my wedding to try and make the dress wearable. The secondary tailor was horrified by how Sonia handled my dress. They had to rip out every single alteration she made. They had to redo everything from how and where she took in my dress to how she did the bustle.
It was deeply unprofessional to take *four months* to alter my dress. If the dress had been finished 8 weeks after I took it to her, the situation wouldn't have been as bad as I would have had more time to take it to a different tailor to be fixed. Instead, I had to face rush fees and massive amounts of stress and emotional turmoil the week of my wedding.

Sonia is amazing, I highly recommend her for any alterations. She does exceptionally well at wedding apparel, and I’m dropping off more wedding dresses today.

I am having my wedding dress and mom’s wedding dress altered here and have been impressed and delighted by the care and skill shown to make them perfect. I will post photos once I pick them up; the work I’ve seen so far and my experience has been outstanding.

Sonia’s came highly recommended. I needed a straightforward which I’ve had done on several dresses before at dry cleaner / tailor combination stores. Sonia unfortunately turned me away because she wasn’t able to do the work. A bit disappointing for a dressmaker.

Sonia is amazing! She has done projects both big and small for myself and my family since I was a child. Her work has been a part of so many milestones in my life...she altered my dress for my middle school graduation, she did my wedding dress alterations (BEAUTIFULLY, I might add) and just recently she was kind enough to do a last-minute adjustment for me so I could get my costume for King Richard's Faire just right. Sonia is just fantastic, she fixed my bridesmaid dress only a week before the wedding. She did beautiful work, and her price was very reasonable. When I came to pick of my dress she had accidentally written the wrong date down. She promised me she'd work on it all day and so she did. I really appreciated her extra effort and will definitely go to her again!
