Book store in Lexington Center. Wide variety of books including children’s books. After you grab a latte down the street, you can drop by here and flip through some actual physical pages just like the old days.

I stopped at this lovely bookstore the other day when walking through downtown Lexington. I admit I was hesitant to go inside because I often find that storefronts on Mass. Ave tend to be overpriced; this was not the case with Maxima Book Center at all. They had a wide variety of books, as well as many unique gifts, bookmarks, and stationary items, all at reasonable prices! The person at the front was helpful and attentive without being overbearing, which allowed my boyfriend and I to browse at our own pace without feeling rushed. I will be visiting again and highly recommend. With wonderful local bookstores like this, there is no reason not to shop locally.

I love this little store! They have titles I haven't seen in larger chains, and offer a wide range of books. From thrillers to nature guides, as well as a well-stocked children's book section and lots of fiction for adults, I highly recommend coming here. While there is no AC, it is a really cute shop with friendly and extremely helpful staff! If I could rate it 10 stars, I definitely would.

Every employee is always extremely nice and helpful. The books and trinkets are of high quality, and they really bring a sense of warmth to a center with roughly 13 banks just on that one road. Yes I counted, although the number is eves growing

Small shop with indie books, plenty of new releases and novelties for lovers of the whimsical and bookish things, such as "War and Peach Tea". Lots of books and book themed gifts. A bit stuffy on a hot day but otherwise pleasant and the staff were polite.

A small shop with a surprisingly wide assortment of book genres for adults and kids. Great place to shop for Christmas gifts! There's many interesting handicrafts, stationary, games, toys, etc. for sale.

Went in with some friends, and they were super helpful, giving some recommendations, etc. The atmosphere was really great, and they had a wide variety of books (children's books, fiction & nonfiction, graphic novels, etc).

Great little bookstore in Lexington town center. We stopped by to browse for books last weekend. The owner was very friendly and gave my son several ideas on books he might enjoy. Plus, they have these really awesome wine glasses and cups with Lexington maps etched on them!
