Horrible horrible experience with this center. Please do not have your children go here. We had a spot reserved for our daughter to start in March 2023. We had the spot secure since Summer 2022). Well we waited 6 months for this spot to open up. When I checked in a couple weeks before her start date, they told me she could not start because a teacher had resigned in the infant classroom. We were left with no childcare and no clear start date. 6 weeks later they told us a spot had opened up but we needed to make a decision ASAP. When I expressed my concerns that we seemed expendable to them, and we would have our child start at a different center, they simply sent us our deposit back without addressing any of our frustrations or concerns. I've never felt more like we were just a paycheck to them. And there was no consideration or sympathy that at all for putting us in this situation. Also keep in mind that the infant room is closed one day a week bc they don't have the staff available. I think it's a very bad sign they can't keep staff. We are with a daycare center now that are extremely nice and consider us family. I would not recommend this place at all. The director and upper management are just awful.

My baby is always happy drop off and pick up. The staff is very friendly and creative with infant activities. I always get greeted with a warm welcome and smile!

Our family has had a great experience over the last year at this center. We value our relationships with the teachers across the center, especially in the infant room. Our son has had very good teachers, who genuinely care about our son and his development and happiness. Our son has been here since 12 weeks and is about to transition to the toddler room. There has been some transitioning of teachers, including the director recently, but for us it has been alright because of the consistency with our son's teacher in the infant room, who is an incredibly kind and caring woman. We always have no worries as we drop him off with her every morning. As a first time mom, I was and still am always very hesitant and thorough about his care, and I feel that he has had a great experience so far. We always look forward to talking with his teacher at the end of the day to see what he did and how he was throughout the day.

We love the two year old class, they’re always doing and learning new things. The teachers are awesome, very kind, and super dedicated to their job, the families, and the kids which is very comforting as a first time parent at daycare. The curriculum is changing with the kids growing interests and development but also very structured which my child likes a lot. This is the first daycare we ever used and I would recommend it to anyone.

I’ve been at Knowledge Beginnings for 8 years having had both my sons go to the school. The teachers are terrific, caring, dedicated to education and making sure kids have fun. The administration is communicative, always ask for feedback and are always thinking of new ways to build the school community. It’s a safe, clean and happy place and I’ll be sad to leave this year when my youngest heads to kindergarten. Highly recommend!

Parents and Teachers be aware. The building is old and dirty. Black mold is growing on all the air vents in the entire daycare! They are understaffed and out of Massachusetts state ratios almost every day. Dianne Elbaz presents herself as the director when she does not hold the qualifications to be director certified. (Check the EEC website) The current management undermines the teachers. Teachers are not allowed to be creative and expected to accept the changes made to their room by management. The children are not abused but the management will combine toddlers with infants and or preschool to suit their need/want to not be in a classroom. It is not the children’s fault the center is understaffed but the kids sure pay the price. Also the recent good reviews were a deal made in trade with Dianne. They are not honest reviews nor earned by the current management.

Kindercare in Lexington has been nothing but amazing. Compassionate and professional teachers who genuinely care for your child like they are one their own. Staff take the time to interact and keep the children engage and active in learning. They go above and beyond what most teachers for the age group of infant and up would do at other facilities. Everyone is friendly and very welcoming; no matter what age group the teacher handles they (from infant to pre k) all take the time to get to know the families that join kindercare. They watched over my child when he was most vulnerable (starting at 12 weeks) and as a first time mom I was so nervous to place him in anyone's care. the teachers put me at ease by taking the time speak to me on the phone when i would check in the first few weeks. They made me feel comfortable by giving me end of day notes on how my child did that day. They worked with him on meeting his milestones like sitting up and crawling. i knew it was a wonderful place when the director Diane and the deputy director Shetara took the the time to speak to me to learn about me and my son. i honestly do not have enough kind words to express how grateful I am to have had such wonderful people watching over my son. Kindercare in Lexington will become a second family watching over your most precious gem once you get to know everyone.

My kid is attending Knowledge Beginnings and this is by far the best experience we ever have with daycare centers. The teachers are friendly and considerate, and make me and my kid felt at home each day we came in. They got quite some good activities (such as art, water play, and book reading) for the kids, especially since the new director came to this site couple of months ago. My kid enjoys learning while playing.

The infant room is great- the teachers are warm and loving. The corporation, however, has many layers and communication surrounding decisions. I was very saddened by the sudden change in leadership and did not understand why- which is unfair to parents that put trust into staff and leadership. The new director and asst director seem very nice.

I agree with the first poster. Things have gotten so bad that they recently brought in corporate to handle multiple, substantial problems. This has not fixed things as we all had hoped. All the teachers that I've spoken with (Infant through pre-K) are frustrated. Many have left due to frustrations. (Although the official line is, "moving on to explore other opportunities"). Nearly half the families have left over the past 2 months. I moved my older child, yet have yet to find alternative daycare for my little, little ones (under 2yo).
