The fun, funky vibes of a Boston or New York hotel in the Massachusetts suburbs. This was the perfect hotel for checking out local colleges. You are centrally located to Boston and that northern Massachusetts/southern NH region where they basically keep all of the colleges and universities. My kids loved the unique rooms at Aloft, the pool, pool table, lounge, and indoor/outdoor space. I appreciated the value, friendly staff, and especially the well-stocked bar (after a week of pricing colleges, a cocktail was a welcome touch).

Hotel is lovely and very clean. When I came into the lobby to check in I went up to the front desk, a young Asian man was sitting on a sofa on his phone, after a moment I cleared my throat so he would hear me. He acted as if I had interrupted him. He was very stoic. He only gave me one key I had to ask for a second. He was not forthcoming with any information, I had to drag it out of him. My only concern with cleanliness what's the lack of a liner in my ice bucket. There was only one face towel in my room. The electric Outlets are not at a convenient level, you have to get down practically on your knees to use them. It was advertised that there was a restaurant in the hotel. There was none. The hotel itself was very nice. Service however, was greatly lacking. Also no ice machine bottled water was not left in my room as stated. No where to hang towels except over the toilet. Sliding door to bathroom gets stuck. Light out over the bed. A plastic bag of linen was left in the hall near the elevator for 2 days. The staff at the front desk the 2nd day were much nicer that the young man at check in. Mario's restaurant in Lexington however was awesome! We found it on our own after the front desk suggested Domino's. It was only a few minutes from the hotel.

We booked and prepaid for our room. Upon arrival we were first met at the door with a bunch of very drunk ADULTS who were loud and spilling drinks all over the place. When I made it to the desk the attendant said he couldn’t find my reservation. After standing there for 30mins he said our reservation was cancelled because another staff member never put in all our information correctly to reserve our room. There were no rooms left so we had to spend 2hours looking for another hotel at 1230 in the morning. The guy didn’t seem to care and just shrugged his shoulders at us.

Nice and clean, good amenities and only a short walk to a long trail system if you want to go for a hike or run

I never write reviews ever...but ALL of the negative reviews of this hotel are true.
1. Upon check-in, the room was not ready & looked like someone had just slept in the bed and used the bathroom. (Which MANY people have said has happened to them)
2. Someone tried getting into our room early in the morning, thank god we deadbolted the door because they fully tried to open the door. Based on other reviews my assumption is it was housekeeping, as they've been said to just barge into rooms and try to start "cleaning".
3. I woke up with pink eye after 1 night sleeping in this hotel, lol
Now, suuuuuuuuuure the front desk gave us a new room no problem. The new room at least smelled better and looked clean upon naked eye. However, if you're looking for someone to stay where you will have 0 issues, DO NOT BOOK HERE. It was alright for my boyfriend & I as we had a mid-distance relationship and sometimes we like to stay in hotels together. But if you're really picky, like a CLEAN environment, seamless check-in, pass on this place. It's not worth the money at all.

Noteworthy details: Rooms are just ok.
Service not good at all

Several issues in the room upon checking in:
-Malfunctioning window shade
-Desk lamp missing shade
-Light bulb out in light on the headboard
-No ice machine on the premises
-Loud running toilet all night
-Mini fridge was loud and super noisy
-Poor communication amongst staff
Maintenance worker was in my room for about an hour (give or take) trying to fix the window shade and repairing the entire light fixture on the headboard.
There was no other room I could move to due to being at max capacity (allegedly).
Overall, not a good Marriott experience for me.

The person at check in was rude and inattentive. He acted like we were bothering him. No water cups in room. The waste baskets had no liners and also ice bucket. For being affiliated with Marriott and the price you expect more. I'll never stay at another. I'll take my chances with Super 8! We booked for two nights if I had an option I would've canceled 2nd night.

The lobby looks modern and the bar is okay. But the rest is not recommended. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. The carpet is old. Room service didn't come to me once in 3 days. Bad breakfast

Booked a room on the bonvoy app for "One" night. Which did reflect on my confirmation on the app. After checking in I noticed that the hotel changed me for 3 nights. I showed them my reservation confirmation / number. Showing I booked for one night only. Front desk Inform me that it was a system error in house. Such inconvenience for a Platinum bonvoy member. Now waiting for my refund. And not only that, celling in the shower has mold, paint pealing off and stained. Never again i will stay in this hotel. Don't recommend anyone to stay here.
Rooms: Shower celling there's mold, paint pealing off and stained. I have proof. I took pictures

When you walk in the lobby looks nice and a nice guy is downstairs. The shower head when you turn it on didn't have enough water. Our toilet every time you flush it we would have to flush it more than once. The bed was fine these rooms need to be updated.
Walkability: It's a lot of walking to go to the rooms. We had the 3rd floor for this weekend. Not sure if all the floors are this way.

I recently stayed at the Aloft in Lexington, MA for a work trip, and it will definitely be my last visit to this hotel. Upon checking into my room, I noticed it was not up to standard, especially for someone like me who’s quite particular about cleanliness.
My first concern was the state of the bedsheets. When I pulled back the covers, I discovered a large stain right in the middle of the bed. To my dismay, the stain was on the mattress protector beneath the sheets. It was clear that the previous guests had left something unpleasant behind—let’s just say it was a very unsanitary situation. The fact that the mattress protector wasn’t changed before my stay was simply unacceptable.
I requested a room change at the front desk and was moved, but unfortunately, the new room was only marginally better. The paint was peeling and cracking, and I discovered ants the day before checkout. Additionally, the bathroom sink would clog every time I used it, and the shower faucet handle kept falling off because of a missing screw. While I managed to make do by adjusting the faucet carefully and accepting the less-than-ideal conditions, the overall experience was frustrating.
To make matters worse, while chatting with colleagues in the lobby, one mentioned she too had to switch rooms due to an issue with bed cleanliness. When I learned she had been placed in the same room I had initially been given, I was appalled because the hotel staff still had not changed the sheets. It was evident that the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or inspected.
In summary, my experience at Aloft Lexington was disappointing, and I strongly recommend seeking alternative accommodations in the area.
