0 stars isn't a low enough review! I have visited this barn a few times in the past few months as a prospective boarder, and I have never been more appalled in my life. I have owned many horses on my own property, so boarding is a new world for me. I understand that no one will ever take care of my horses the way that I do. However, if you are looking for a stable to disregard human, horse, and trainer welfare, you have found the facility for you. I have never been to a facility that simply does not care about the welfare of any of the horses there, whether they are boarders or property-owned. Horses are overworked, underfed, and anxious. They rarely get turned out, blanketed, and are dramatically underfed.I spoke to a few current and past boarders, and they say that bringing their horses to Craig Memorial was the biggest mistake of their life. It is my understanding that boarder horses have contracted diseases due to negligence and improper care. Owners have to beg the owner to feed hay, clean stalls, and administer medication. Horses are made to stand in their dirty stalls for days at a time. They are fed only one flake of hay per meal, regardless of size. When questioning the owner about this, her response is simply, "That is how horses are supposed to be fed, but we can feed more hay stretcher." There is no one officially hired, and when something is askew, no one takes accountability. If you are considering taking lessons here, DO NOT. PARENTS, get comfortable with asking for credentials! Most instructors at Craig do not have the proper credentials. If you, as an equestrian, have any regard for yourself, your horse(s), or the equestrian industry, stay as far away from this place as possible.

While we aren't currently clients here, our family looks forward to having our children take classes here as well as enjoy rides through the neighboring woods! Our family has regularly enjoyed visiting and saying hello to the wonderful community there.

The horses are very well cared for. The horse they used for the lesson was a very well mannered Morgan Arab mix. The barn and stables are fitted out with the comfort of the horses in mind. The people are friendly and helpful, but not always terribly well organized. This is not a place with a lot of people heading off to trail rides every hour. Each ride is arranged in advance. They are willing to go out on the trail with just one person, which is a plus.Note they do not take credit cards, so bring cash or check. The price is reasonable given the quality of the horses and the amount of personal attention.

Such a lovely place to keep my mare! So much compassion about horses is apparent in each staff member. I have so much access to just about everything here. They have horse events throughout the year with something for everyone! Indoor arena, miles of trails, round pen, outdoor arenas, instructors, heated offices, the possibilities are endless! I have ease while i am working my many hours a week and tending to a family at home that my horse has another family who is watching out and caring for her.

Amazing owners and center to board your horse and ride and take lessons. Sister did 4h through them for years. I have numerous friends that ride there as do I. The owner is an amazingly compassionate woman who loves her horses very deeply and would do anything for any of us girls that ride through her.
