I guess running a consignment shop is not competitive as this place is hardly customer friendly. Getting an initial appointment to bring in my first batch of items to sell (up to 30) was a process because the staff (owner & 1 other) alternatively ignored me and then treated me condescendingly/rudely, ultimately deigning to give me an appointment a couple weeks out. When I brought the clothes in, the interaction was slightly better by the end, but this was after they rejected most of what I had brought in. Overly picky imo, tho my daughter tells me that is par for the course. Might have been me, but felt my offerings were being sneered at. Went back month or so later to see what had sold and bring another batch. The worker (not owner, but same woman mentioned above) could not have been more obnoxious/rude. “Come on people” was the response when myself and another woman did not know our codes (It was not difficult to look up). And she seemed to be outraged that we were trying to bring things in despite a small hand-written sign on door advising they were pausing for a bit (aside from this little sign, how were we to know?!) She pretty much didn’t want to let me in the store initially (I could have wanted to look around to buy). She also seemed reluctant to have us ‘cash out’ (understandable, I guess). Lots of other snarky attitude/comments. I can’t believe this place gets a 3 overall - the customer does NOT come first. From perspective of being a customer, I agree with the other reviews that things seem overpriced and sort of average quality (though there were some interesting housewares, as also mentioned in another review). Toyed with giving it 1 star…

If you’re looking to be flat out ignored as a customer despite being the ONLY person shopping, or if you’re looking for overpriced mall brand products, this place is for you. I added a star because I have found some okay deals on vintage housewares there. The staff working there truly reflect the rude attitudes of someone who thinks they run an “upscale” establishment. The owner is usually too busy tagging MORE items for the overstuffed store to even look up when you’re standing right in front of her trying to get her attention. I’m finally done with this place after the attitudes and poor shopping experiences I’ve had over the years. Buyers beware.

When picking up your items that didn't sell, you need to look through the store yourself to find them, and when asked which area certain items would be located, the owner groans and says she "doesn't have time for this" ... we couldn't find an item that should have been there (we searched the ENTIRE store) and were told "if someone shopped then dropped in the wrong place, it's not my problem"... never found it. Really terrible experience. Why open a store if you're gonna be rude to customers?

Just read the other negative reviews, they are absolutely true. A strangely mean and rude cashier is always working the front counter!She makes it very unpleasant to shop there. The owner is fairly nice, so the other employee’s behavior, and the fact that the owner tolerates it, is very surprising. She must know about it!Textbook passive aggressiveness taken to the highest level. She has an “equal opportunity” rude personality though, as she is rude to everyone, equally, for any reason and no reason. In about 5 minutes, she managed to insult 3 customers. Really baffling. Now, let’s be kind, maybe she has a disorder. But if so, she probably shouldn’t be the customer service representative of this business, or at least wear a sign “I am ill and cannot help being very rude”.Good selection and prices, and a cute little store, but prepare to be talked down to, patronized, and insulted. You decide if it is worth it. I think not!

Blonde cashier is not friendly at all. I won’t bring items into the store anymore and even hesitate to deal with her to ask for my money on my account. She needs to go.

if you want rude service - this is the place. Not only did i not get informed that the time was up to sell something and they would keep it but then i get smart comments when i arrived to pick it back up. Sad service

They have a $10 minimum purchase with cards. One woman told us it was okay and to consider it for next time, but the cashier was very catty and reiterated it rudely. I shop at small businesses regularly, the ones I normally go to in my town are a $5 minimum which is why I even asked beforehand to begin with. If you're not comfortable with making the sale, feel free to say so. I had made an effort to combine me and my friend's purchases to help raise the price of our order, but was totally willing to go grab cash nearby if necessary. Our order came to a little over $6. (Also there seems to be a photo of a sign in the reviews saying the purchase minimum is $5.)The store itself was okay, having a nice selection of scarves in particular I don't see at other stores. The selection is not worth dealing with being spoken down to, considering this was my first visit. I completely understand how card payments affect small businesses, it is not necessary to be pretentious towards customers that sympathize and are willing to compromise.

First of all the lady was very rude and crabby. And second of all it was our first time there and we didn't know that they allow only certain amount of purchase with a card and she was very rude about that and not understanding that we didn't know. Not a pleasant experience

It's been a while since I have shopped here and I was a little disappointed with the selections they had but as this is a consignment shop I realize merchandise and variety will vary considerably. The two stars is for the rude customer service that I received. The woman was nothing short of nasty and condescending towards me. I will not be going back for this reason. If you have poor customer service skills maybe you shouldn't work directly with the customers.
