Initial contact with Hartman Relocation Services was great. Bill came out in person to do an estimate and was very fair with the estimate. Received a contract stating that the final bill would NOT EXCEED a certain price. However, our closing day did not go as expected and due to a last-minute issue with the buyer of our home, our closing time was pushed out. It was extremely stressful as we did not even know if we were going to close at all after our items were already moved onto the truck. The woman in the office was VERY VERY rude and unsympathetic. She was very frustrated that the movers could not deliver to the new home first thing in the morning. The original contract had stated noon not 8 am. Anyway, due to the pushback of the closing time, the movers could not deliver until after 3 p.m. We did not have the option of storing our items another night due to the movers being booked up. In the end, we were charged over 1,000 dollars more than the original price. I understand that the movers had to work later due to the closing being moved however a double-time fee was never mentioned during the estimate or on the contract. The first I heard of it was when the woman who works at the office rudely stated that there would be double time after 6 p.m. However, I had no choice at that point since the movers were booked for the next day. Movers finished about 8 pm and my mother (who moved separately into the attached in-law) wanted to pay cash for the cash discount that Bill had mentioned in a confirmation e-mail. One of the movers had told my mother that there was no cash discount and it was not authorized to Bill to offer cash discounts any longer as this was a thing of the past. Then came the charge of over 1,000 dollars more than the contract stated. Again, no mention of double-time in the contract. Also, some of that cost was a mathematical error by Bill in the original contract. that I STILL had to end up paying even though the contract said NOT TO EXCEED. The mover taking care of the final bills was extremely frustrated as we had to juggle coming up with the extra cost. Again, I understand that the movers worked late but it was by 2 hours, and over a grand seemed a little excessive for 2 hours. I did contact Bill who told me there was a calculation error and gave a partial refund of a little over $400. Bill mentioned that they sent an extra mover to assist since it was a late start time. This all would have been fine if there was communication of all of this and we weren't blindsided by the additional cost. Plus the calculation error on the contact should not have affected me! I just don't understand a contract to not exceed and then have it exceed. There should be more specific wording in the contract in case someone else has our issue and closing is pushed back. We also tipped each mover generously separately. The closing being pushed back was out of our control completely and if I had the choice I would have stored the items an additional night as it would have been much cheaper than to pay for additional crew and overtime. Also issues with damaged items due to carelessness in stacking clearly labeled fragile boxes and improper reassembly of my bed. The majority of the movers did work efficiently and were great. I just wish there was better communication about additional fees instead of putting a not to exceed price and being blind sighted at the end.

Hartman is moving my senior mother and her husband interstate from MA to GA. The crew on the MA side was fine. The crew on the GA side not so much. The driver has been incredibly rude, complaining about having to get to Florida, that they are making him late, etc. My mother NEVER had contact information for him. He accused my 80 yr old mother of neglecting to call him this morning to tell him that she was "ready" for delivery. I am so incensed with this company right now. I hope today's move in goes ok.

Moving is daunting, especially when coordinating from out-of-state. In my perfect world, any future moves would be handled by Hartman Relocation Services due to my recent amazing experience with them. Billy Hartman was extremely helpful when I called for a quote (which was quite reasonable). Since I'd already spoken to several movers who gave the impression that they couldn't be bothered and were way more expensive, I knew Hartman RS was the way to go. Communication from the company flowed with ease, including the day of the move. Scott and his assistant packed the truck expeditiously and so solidly that not one item shifted or broke in our 1200 mile journey. Not. A. One. Thank you, Hartman Relocation Services, for greatly reducing moving stress and for providing an outstanding service!

I had a good experience overall with Hartman. They were early and quick, which we appreciated. The only issue was with our grandfather clock. Bill said they could handle it as it was the same clock in their main office. The mover said he could definitely do it day of and disassembled it. However, the mover dissembled it incorrectly and could not put the clock back together for us. When I called Bill, there was some gaslighting and no responsibility taken. It was really disappointing. Good movers, but be very careful with what they touch and double check to make sure what they say they can manage they can actually manage.

Hartman Relocation is simply the best! All phases of coordinating this move were handled professionally. From the initial call inquiry, to follow-up reminders, to picking up items from several locations, to figuring out how to get very large furniture items through rather small doors, they handled my move with calm expertise. The movers were friendly and professional. Having them take care of everything was well worth it. I'll never move without a moving company again! Thank you Hartman Relocation!

HRS is the best!! My wife and I interviewed 6 moving companies to move us in January. We have a 4 bedroom home including a baby grand piano, 6' long electric kiln, sit down mower, large snowblower, etc, etc. We moved across two state lines. HRS was the only company that had no reviews less than 4 stars. VERY unusual! HRS (Billy) was the only company to give us a max cost for the moving. Billy was also the only one who said the quoted price could be less. Ultimately, the price came in at $1,000 less than quoted! The movers - particularly Tom and Scott - were phenomenal!! They moved everything (including the baby grand and kiln) with professionalism, care and humor. They made our moving out and moving in so stress free (and maybe even fun!). Thank yo, Thank you!

Excellent movers and relocation service! We moved from Princeton, MA to Palm Bay, FL last year and the move was flawless. Hartman's packed and stored our things in their facility in Massachusetts until we bought a house in Florida and Wheaton brought it here. Great job all around!

Today right on cue, Hartman Relocation showed up with 4 strapping polite young men, Kim and Richard to move my belongings.They stayed on task and never once slowed down despite the heat or humidity.They moved out my studio apartment and two small storage units loaded to the brim in 3 hours plus travel time.I would reccommend them over and over and over! Every member of that team had a wonderful work ethic and treated my items with great respect. They gave me permission to post this pic....THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

These guys made moving look easy. They were prompt, professional, and cheerful. It was definitely worth every penny. Not an item was damaged or scratched and they took extra care with our brand new home.
