Very disappointing and unprofessional. I changed my name during naturalization procedure (when became the US citizen. When I asked Fidelity Bank to change my name on the bank account, my request was denied. They wanted me to provide a legal document showing my previous and current legal name. But there is no such document in situations when you get your naturalization certificate (it has your picture and your new name, this is ID with which you receive your US passport, change SSN etc, this is the main document for the rest of your life). The manager in Leominster branch wanted something from a city hall and a new driver license, the assistant manager Jennifer in a headquarters still wanted 2 documents (ID with the new name and a legal document that prove I changed my name). They gave me a really hard time and there's no way I can give them what they want. They also refused to check this with their legal department.

They have craze loan guidelines. Be careful using them for a mortgage.

Do Not use this bank if you get unemployment. They will hold your money forever and then not allow you to access it after the hold time.

So they tell you they only will let you in for essential banking ( they dictate what is) and to use drive up banking, no problem except they cut their hours that drive up is open without updating website!!! DRIVE UP CLOSES AT 4PM WITH OFFICE, NOT 6 PM AS POSTED!!!!!! Impossible phone customer service and apparently don’t want our business!!! DONT BANK HERE!!!!!!!!!

Too bad 1 star is the lowest rate you can give this bank doesn't even deserve that. Absolutely terrible customer service. I've never seen such incompetence in a work place. I NEVER leave reviews and felt the NEED to leave this one. I would not recommend this bank EVEN IF THEY WERE GIVING AWAY FREE MONEY. Do yourselves a favor and take your business somewhere that cares about their customers. I've never been so dissatisfied with a business.

I spent over 5 months working through a construction loan for my house. the original hold up was the permits, I had Permits on June 9th. I scheduled my Appraisal for June 24th. its July 30th and I'm still getting excuses and the run around as to where the Appraisal is. i was told they would have it by the 15th, then the 23rd, now today, and still no appraisal. I've worked with Donna Antonio and Peter Favata. Peter (VP TPO Sales Manager) Personally has assured me twice now that they would have it by a certain date (723 & 7/30) and that has fallen through. It feels like buying a used car vs obtaining a mortgage. I would caution you to consider another option before investing hours of your life here with no return or respect for your time. I finally got my Appraisal on August 9th, and it took another month to close. we closed Sep 10th. Job/Loan was complete Yesterday, Monday March 30th. I waited until the job was complete to post this, hence the gap in dates vs posting. The processing dept for the disbursements couldn't have been an easier process, everyone i spoke to, mainly a woman named Casey, was helpful and followed through on what they said they'd do. Obtaining the mortgage was more of a hassle than it ever should've been, I hope no one else has to go through this with them. If you're wondering, I'm already working with a different local bank on a refi.

This bank acquired my bank and as such some of the rates and conditions are grandfathered in, but I would not go with them otherwise and am unsure I will stay with them. The departure of a significant number of the existing staff within weeks of the announcement of the planned merger was telling. The process was not transparent. Supposedly the smaller bank which was usually empty of customers was not in any financial trouble and the merger was due to accountholder demand for more branch locations. I don't think so. The other advantage we were supposed to be thrilled about was insurance for deposit amounts over the FDIC limits. In Fitchburg? Seriously? Maybe in the Stow branch. The transition did go smoothly, as account balances transferred correctly and statements were accurate, but communications regarding it were flawed - for example, references were made to previous communications that were never sent, and an incorrect transition date was given. The phone lines were also flooded despite extended hours and you could not get through or had long hold times. Fidelity is all about the jargon. They can't just say "Checking" or "Savings". It's LifeDesign Free II or CareFree Discover (no relation to Discover card) or other gobbledygook. I am not impressed. For better rates try an online bank, for better service try a credit union. If changing direct deposits and withdrawals were not such an inconvenience I would be gone.

I've been a long time member ever since BankNorth changed their policies back in 2008 and my mother has been a member since forever. This place has the most lax account and policies I've seen. The workers here are super friendly and inviting. Out of the hundreds of transactions I've made here, I think only 2% of them had me waiting in line for longer than 2 minutes. Their location is great as well, being right next to a Cumbies and the mall with easy access to the highway making in and out banking a breeze.
