Kevin and his crew (Eric & brother) were great! Nothing was broken or damaged. They unloaded the truck quickly & put things together as well. It was 100 degrees out & it didn’t slow them down one bit. I would highly recommend them. The office was a bit slow at times responding to emails! I was given Kevin’s cell phone & he promptly relied. They were done in 90 minutes, I was totally impressed.

I moved from Boston (Methuen) to Tampa (Land O Lakes) with Allied Van Lines/ABC Moving and Storage (Leominster, MA). I have mixed feelings about the move with respect to the moving company's performance. Our initial impressions were very positive based on our experience with the estimator (Alistair Drummond). He refined the quote several times as we become more clear about what we were taking and what we were leaving behind. The start of the moving process itself was ok, though the communication could have been much better. We had been told that the loading was likely to occur on Tuesday, July 5, but this was not confirmed until Tuesday morning when the driver called to say that he was on his way. That's unacceptably poor communications (it's not the driver's fault, it's an account management issue). The day of loading, we had three people loading the truck. Two of the guys were great; they worked hard and never slacked. The third guy, Anthony, was a slacker. He was often lollygagging and playing with his phone. As a result, the loading process took about 1-1/2 hours longer than necessary, in my estimation. That also put us into Boston rush hour traffic when we started our drive south. Not that big of an issue, but it didn't need to happen that way.The communication was once again poor on the delivery end of the move. We received an email on July 11 saying that our tentative delivery/unloading date was Monday, July 18. Between those days we had no further communication in spite of multiple attempts with email and phone messages to get confirmation of the July 18 unloading date. On Sunday evening, July 17, the driver called to say he'd be there in the morning at 8am. He arrived the following morning at 9:30am.On the unloading end, we again had three guys from the moving company (including the driver). Two of them worked very hard to get us unloaded as quickly as possible. The driver was often nowhere to be seen... not sure where he was spending his time, but the workers made it clear that they thought he was being lazy. In any case, all of our items did arrive with nothing missing. We have a nice decorative desk with wooden legs which was the only item damaged in the move. The damage, however, was extensive, in that the rear legs of the desk were snapped off. When the desk was packed, the legs should have been removed to prevent damage, but that was not done. To be fair, as I said, all other items arrived intact without damage, including 61 boxes that we had packed ourselves. All in all, the move was successful and reasonably priced. The damage to the desk should not have happened, but I'm happy that that was the only damage to our items. My biggest complaint is with the overall communications from ABC Moving and Storage. Moving a household is a very stressful time; a few simple improvements to how we were communicated with would have significantly helped to reduce our stress level.

Terrible experience. Delivery was made 4 days after our "guaranteed" 2-week delivery window, forcing us to find alternative lodging in a new city for several days. Communication with office staff was poor. They only sporadically answered phone calls or emails. At least one item was completely destroyed and unusable upon arrival. Would not use this company again and strongly encourage others to look elsewhere.

They moved me to south Florida. $20;000. they "lost" my dining table - weighed about 100 pounds and sat 6 people. They delivered the legs, chairs and glass inserts but couldn't find the table. As time passed I realized I was missing a bunch of things - old baseball cards, many kitchen items, bedroom bureau was damaged. they couldn't have less. I called American Express about the table which was part of a complete set for which I paid $10,000. AmEx settled with them for $2,000.Allied was pissed. Called me to complain. Do not use them.

Do not use this company at any cost! Julian Coles, the CEO, and the rest of the employees at this organization do not care about you, your belongings or any commitments made to you when you sign their contract. Once you sign their contract and they have your belongings, you are at their mercy. They will deliver your belongings whenever they feel like it and you will not be compensated for it. In fact, you are expected to pay the full amount quoted to you before they will deliver your property! Every time we tried to talk to someone about the delay of our belongings we were reminded of the full payment due BEFORE they deliver your stuff. We recently moved to Kentucky and we were told our belongings would arrive last Tuesday, after repeated phone calls and emails that went unanswered for days, we were finally given a new date which is two weeks later! We can understand a delay of a day or two, but 2 weeks? We have yet to receive our belongings so who knows if that date is even accurate. I say because every time you speak with someone, no one takes accountability for what is going on and you can never get a straight answer and that includes the top of the organization. You will be repeatedly told "we are following the limits of the terms and agreement that was provided to you when you signed the contract", but when they do not fulfill their part of the contract, you are then told to file a claim with van lines. We signed a contract with Allen and Coles moving systems, but we have to file a claim with Van Lines. It's the old bait and switch game all day long. They just say the same thing over and over until you are just tired of trying to get anywhere with them. Beware of Bill Biniszkiewicz, he is a sheep in wolves clothing. He is the person who came to our home to provide us the original quote which was off by 3k. He also told us that he would be back at our home two days before they were to begin packing our stuff to give us a more accurate quote, but he never showed up. We were told that it would cost an additional 3k AFTER they picked up our belongings! Then we were given the run around by several other employees including the VP, John Kane. We also reached out to the president of the company and his response was "I don't keep up with day to day operations". In other words, I don't give a s*** about your problems, have one of my completely inept employees take care of it. And when I say inept, I am being as polite as possible. I have no idea how this organization is in business, but beware that these clowns operate more than one moving company out of Leominster, MA and Portland, ME. There are several companies that operate under the JRC holding company. We signed with Allen and Coles moving, but North American Van lines, ABC movers and Allied are also managed by this same group. My advice is to do your homework before you sign with any moving company, check the Better Business Bureau(we did not and this company has many complaints) and if you see any of the names I have listed above, RUN!

Allied did a fantastic job! The movers who packed us up in Massachusetts were wonderful. They were quick and efficient. The movers who unpacked us in Florida were also fantastic. Every item was put together and placed exactly where we wanted it.

Wonderful moving experience thanks to David Foote and my driver Randy! The entire team Allied sent from the packers to the movers was professional and thorough. The estimate I received was very close to my final bill and everything in my move arrived in the right place (I had two stops) and there was no damage to my items. The delivery date told to me by my driver Randy did not change and he was right on time! Everything about my move was hassle free!

I am so saddened to post this negative review. In the early stages of my move, I really thought I’d have a positive experience with Allied. But, a number of things went very wrong, and I’m now wishing that I had gone with a different moving company. For one thing, several of my boxes, clearly/boldly marked “fragile” on all sides and the top, were perched on the back of an overloaded dolly and tumbled off, and a number of my most cherished fragile items got irreparably broken. And, I paid extra for the movers to pack two glass panels. One of those panels arrived at the destination completely smashed. Also, the company charged my credit card for an amount hundreds of dollars over my estimate without notifying me. I requested a detailed/itemized bill showing how my final bill was calculated many weeks ago. When I followed up about it last week, I was told it was being worked on that morning. I still haven’t received it. I also was shocked and dismayed that the company did not provide the moving crews at either end of my move with adequate (e.g. breathable N95) face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. All of the moving guys at both ends did not wear any face covering during the hours they were doing the work, because they couldn’t breathe in the masks they had been provided. These poor guys have to go from state to state, residence to residence, and customer to customer. They are being put at risk during this public health crisis, and so is everyone else they encounter. Some residents in my former apartment building were really outraged by this. One positive is that the moving guys were pleasant, and they worked hard. But, beyond that I really can’t recommend this company.

My daughters household goods were moved from Worcester, Massachusetts to a storage unit in Cashiers NC. She was not there so the moving company had to coordinate with the landlord. From beginning to end, this move was seamless. Great communication and professionalism from the online forms to the driver delivering her goods. I highly recommend this moving company. One guy showed up high, the smell of marijuana was so pungent everyone on the crew knew. Lost and missing items was high. They stole power tools, electrical supplies (outlets, covers), anything of value in clear bins never arrived at destination - and when they are self packed bins you are not compensated full replacement value - only nominal flat fee. Staff was not responsive, Jordan did not quickly respond to emails on scheduling, and we were delayed by a week or more. When they unloaded at destination there were a lot of items that did not belong to us. Damage to items was extensive, and they put together a bed that had a frame (BRAND NEW ITEM) badly scratched, then tossed on a damaged box frame without showing us the damage, so it was missed in the initial claim and a subsequent claim has not been honored. We only discovered it when we switched box springs. While David was a great salesman, everything else after that was downhill. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Not saying they employ thieves, but where did our belongs go? In the lost items were irreplaceable items (boxes not delivered) - like childhood items - what do you say to your kids when they ask when the elf on the shelf is coming, and where are the mailboxes they made for them? These are only a few of the things missing....horrible experience, months later we are still realizing missing items. Don't, just don't hire them.

I chose Allied for my move from Boston to Denver. They were very responsive, punctual, and delivered my items relatively quickly. The movers were very professional and courteous and respected both my old and new apartments and the items they were transporting. There were no “casualties” with this move...everything was in the exact same condition when it arrived.
