***** WARNING ARTISTS *****I entered a fee-based competition for possible inclusion in a Sohn Gallery exhibition. Instead of adhering to the acceptance/denial notification date she originally stated in the specifications, the gallery director switched to a Hollywood style maneuver and told me I was, "shortlisted", with a NEW notification date a month away, thus rendering my artworks in limbo and unavailable for exhibition elsewhere.I contacted Ms. Sohn and demanded a refund. After her sad attempt at convincing me that by having shortlisted several of my pieces she had indeed fulfilled her obligation of timely notification, I notified my credit card company. Bank of America has no tolerance for this type of manipulation of terms and upon their investigation granted my full refund.

I see now that I was saving my first Google review until I found a business that was consistently both unique and exceptional. Now that I’ve spent more than three years enjoying all this multi layered gallery has to offer, my search is over. I’m one of those people who has been obsessed with taking pictures and enjoying photographs since I was ten. From flash bulbs to Polaroids and Kodachrome to digital images, I was hooked. So, when I found the Sohn Fine Art Gallery with Cassandra Sohn and John Clarke in Lenox, Ma., I was surprised and delighted. I believe this is a place where the owner’s passion for photography has been developed, expanded and expressed to include the gamut of fine art photography. I’ve been fortunate enough to have bought some framed limited edition prints that I love, have had my own pictures edited into photographs, printed and framed, and have had hours of wonderful conversation about photography. There is a warm, relaxed, sophisticated energy that involves you as you walk in the door. My first visit found a remarkable show of extraordinary male nudes. In a town like Lenox, it was an unexpectedly fun experience. While consequently ending my relationship with full length mirrors, the show’s courage blew me away. Since then, I’ve been provoked, educated, amazed, amused and calmed by Cassandra’s thoughtfully curated eclectic exhibitions of both local and internationally known photographers. Cassandra has provided a safe haven and a beautiful showcase for her own, John’s and many other excellent imaginative fine art photographers as well as a place where my images are treated with the utmost care and concern while they work to bring out the best possible photograph before John exercises his jewel of a talent for turning them into rich exciting prints. I can heartily recommend this business to anyone who enjoys photography or who thinks they may like to learn. Keep up the great work, Walter J. Vandervoort

While vacationing in the Berkshires we took a day to visit the art galleries, toy, clothing and gift shops in the town of Lenox. Among those shops was the Sohn Fine Art gallery on Church Street which specializes in fine art photography – framing, printing, retouching artist work; education workshops on photography as well as fine art photography exhibits from local photographic artists. The Sohn offering an impressive group of fine art photographs on display. I was most impressed by the series of 3D image photography art of a women in free fall. We were very pleased with our shopping and sightseeing experience in Lenox. So many great shops to visit. A detailed parking map for Lenox can be found on the Town of Lenox WEB site. We parked behind the town hall (6 Walker Street) which can be accessed from Old Stockbridge street. This lot shares parking with the town hall staff. There is also a public restroom inside the town hall and police directing traffic and pedestrians to cross the street in front of the town hall.

Sohn fine art is an amazing gallery, which I am very honored to be represented by. I would not trust any other place to do all my printing & framing. Cassandra, John and Jenna are a fantastic team that make working with them a pleasure and all are very supportive of my artwork. I wouldn't want to show my work at any other gallery!

I love Sohn Fine Art! Its cool, hip, classy and has a very diverse and eclectic array of photographers. My personal favorite is John Atchley - my wife and I own four of his photographs and we get endless compliments on the photos, the print quality and the framing expertise. Thank you Sohn Fine Art for helping to make our home gorgeous!.

Awesome gallery with a range of photographic styles. Really loved the open work space in the second room where you can see pieces getting framed and printed. Really cool behind the scenes touch. Deffinitly a must stop for any photography lover in living in or passing through the Berkshires.
