“Let's admit it, going to a postal office is usually pretty stress inducing - at least for me! The lines, the attitudes, the staff, ugh.

However, I recently had to mail important information and decided to to to USPS in Holden. It was great! The staff was friendly and they were able to mail my letter and it was in-and-out.

I will come to branch next time!”

“This post office is great and the staff is always friendly, but like other reviewers have said, the lunch hour is not what's listed here. On the door there is currently a printed sign that says they close for lunch from 1-2 every day. Online it says they close from noon-1.

Today I decided I'd head over a little before 1 and to kill some time before they return, I would go grab something to eat. I'm glad I decided to just check and see because it was 12:50 and I would have missed my opportunity to drop off my package today if I had stuck to my original plan!”

“Being elderly I was unable to bring box from my car in. The guy said no worries.
It was so heavy I thought he could get a hernia.
After all was done he told me never worry about if you can not bring a package in.

“Great, small Post office. Always very clean, super friendly & helpful staff, overall very happy to have my PO box here. I was surprised to see a low rating, however I understand now after reading them...Regarding the (2) one star reviews;Reviewer #1: Amazon is a seperate entity from USPS- USPS can't "cancel" shipments from Amazon.Perhaps concentrate on your own intellect & virtues (or lack thereof) before passing judgement on others. Your parents must be proud.Reviewer #2: Local Post Offices do not transport packages, or have any control as to when a package will arrive. They accept items for mailing out, and receive them from the mail carriers/trucks. The rest is done off site, through the postal system network, and is dependant on where the package was mailed from. Perhaps change your rating to reflect the actual business you are rating, as they deserve better.”

“This post office provided probably the best experience I've had with USPS. The woman who helped me was unbelievably kind and personable and made sure everything I needed was taken care of right away. The line moved efficiently and everyone was able to comply by current social distancing because of how clearly marked the post office was. Absolutely recommend this location and thank you for helping me get my TREX stamps”

“We went there last weekend to get our passports and Chris was amazing! I was confused by the paperwork and Chris was so patient and helped us get it all straightened out. I had my 2 and 5 year old who weren’t easy but Chris was kind and patient trying to get their pictures. Chris also was able to help other customers while he helped us too, star employee ! Thank you Chris !”

“I thought I’d leave a positive review, based on the below reactions.I went inside today, and Clerk 12 (forgot to grab his name) helped me find an appropriate P.O. Box for my business. In the meantime waiting for the manager to get us keys, he politely and quickly waited on other customers so as to not hold up the line. He repeatedly checked on status and me during this time, as did the manager who was covering both locations in Charlton.”

“I have not have the best experience with Fed Ex in the past but today was completely different. I have always had a great relationship with my driver Onyx who is probably taken on a higher role at this point or at least should be given a promotion. I called last night to make sure my package would be delivered correctly as their was a delivery exception. Promptly this morning Jimmy called me and took great care of me and made sure everything was delivered correctly. He communicated with me and everyone else perfectly. I really appreciate this. Thank you for everything Jimmy!”

“Someone had only one job and just couldn’t do it. I usually do not leave reviews but this is the second time this is happening to me. The first time was in 2020 when my box of items from Florida was delivered to me half empty with most of the items missen, and when I came to the post office to report the rep at the counter was super rude.
Today I tracked a mail that I was expecting and when I checked I was told it was delivered to a P.O. Box at Joseph D Early Post Office. I do not have a P.O. Box so I was wondering why that would happen. I got there for them to check only for the guy at the counter(Samy) to rudely discharge me. When I asked for his supervisor's number to call he gave me a number to dial and as soon as I did it wasn’t going through. I told him and he rudely asked me to go make my call elsewhere and that if it didn't go through I should just leave a message and that he had to attend to people, mind you there was only one person he if me at that time and there were other two people also working at the counter who could attend to the one person behind me because they were not attending to anyone at that moment.

Thankfully one of the people behind the counters(Ezechiel) was free at that moment and I went to speak with him I pleaded with him to please assist me in finding my mail, and he was very kind and empathetic about it. He asked me to write down the tracking number, my address, and my details so he could look into it. At this point, I had tears in my eyes from his kind words and waited for him to go check for it, and even though he didn't find it he did show me the next step to take and I was in so much tears before leaving the post office.

I cried because of how rudely Samy discharged me like I was there to waste his time and how kind and important Ezechiel made me feel. You choose to be at the front desk or behind the counter, it means you are ready to work with people and you have to be kind to people when working with people because you do not know what they are going through. God bless you, Ezechiel.

Update.
So today ( July 19, 2024) I did receive a voicemail (sent yesterday) from the supervisor Zachary, who apologized for the confusion and the inconvenience caused and told me to wait for some hours or till today as he was waiting to hear from the carrier to see where she delivered my package to and Zachary gave me a call soon as he got the answer and said the package has been sent to my mail. I went to check and thankfully the package finally has been delivered. God bless everyone at the post office who took their time off to make this happen after I've been told it could be lost.”
