“Craig Cox and his staff are beyond awesome! Watching him do an exam on your dog is so reassuring! He feels every inch for lumps bumps etc. He rotates their legs paws etc checking for limitation or pain. Orders age appropriate labs and is not an alarmist but discusses approaches with you. When it was time for us to say goodbye to our 4 th fur baby he was very supportive, accommodating and kind. I love that my dogs always saw the same vet who knew them well.we will Always be grateful to him and the BEST vet assistant ever Maria”

“We needed a place to have our guniea pigs nails clipped and found that most places do not see these animals but Shawsheen was able help. They got us in as quickly as possible. When we arrived for our appointment, reception got us in right away. They showed us how to clip the nails. All of the staff was great and there is plenty of parking. “I don't even know where to begin ... Dr. Martha Lindsay is kind, compassionate and I can't thank her and her staff enough for all they did for my dog, Kota. We started seeing Dr. Lindsay a few years back when we struggled with Kota's liver values. Kota was a dog who didn't medicated easily, and surgery was not something we wanted to put her through. She bounced back through nutritional response (changing her eating and cooking for her made a huge difference!) and then homeopathy over the past few years. I do believe we got an extra few amazing years with Kota thanks to Dr Lindsay. We recently had to say goodbye to Kota - the hardest decision a pet parent ever has to make. But I know we did our best! I highly recommend Alternative Vet Services for your pets. They truly care.”
“Very nice caring people work here , prices seem very high we only have hope that they know what they are doing. Two years ago after a number of tests we were convinced to have done our cat was diagnosed with terminal cancer, thankfully we didn't put her down as she's still a playful and somewhat angry cat. We have never had issues other than that one time as we're a little concerned that every time we bring a pet there they up sale services and tests and sometimes we hesitate going when our pets are having issues because of this, but unfortunately thats the way it goes.”
“I just became a new owner of two rescue Bearded Dragons (Spyke and Luna). I made an appointment at Granite Animal Hospital with Dr. MaComber for a routine health checkup for these two beauties. Dr. MaComber was Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Dr MaComber took the time teaching my daughter and I how to be the best Bearded Dragon parents we can be. River Road has had changes in staff/ownership over the years, but they always provided our pet with the best services/advice. “Dr Braswell and staff were so caring during a painful time. My 3yo dog and i came in overnight from what they think was a rare vaccine-mediated meningitis case. They really helped with being calm and helping me navigate the treatments my dog needed while also being aware of the finances available and making it work. Dr Braswell is so smart and fantastic at what she does that she used her best judgment to treat my dog, which is what saved his life. ? so thankful this place is nearby and available for emergencies”
“I’ve been to both the Banfield hospitals in Salem. The Tuscan Village one did not impress me each time I went so I started going to the one inside of Petsmart. This May my favorite cat in the world Became sick again with some thing he’s had in the past. They did not pressure me to do any imaging as he was almost 17 and I knew what was happening. They prescribed the same medication he was before. Unfortunately the next day he declined even more and the best move was to make him comfortable. I was with the same vet technician Brianna and the same physician Dr.Denault both days. They made me feel so comfortable. They made my baby warm and comfortable and allowed me to snuggle him in an exam room while I waited an hour for my husband to get there. They explained the process, and went above and beyond with the steps that I could take afterwards.
This cat meant the world to me and I had always planned to make him comfortable at home. So being able to have such a calming experience in a vet office meant a lot to me and deserved a good review.”

“We had a wonderful experience at Bulger today with Dr. Canes in the ER. She was warm, kind, and compassionate and really took the time to make sure my dog was ok.
We also see Dr. Prahl who provides excellent internal medicine care. I appreciate that she coordinates care with our regular vet. I feel like we have the greatest veterinary team. Several years I was so impressed with how her team went out of their way to coordinate an endoscopy with a dental (general medicine) to keep my dog from needing anesthesia during multiple visits.
We also had a great experience with Dr. Casiotis in ophthalmology.
Each veterinarian at this practice is highly qualified and treats pets with the utmost care.”
