I ordered 2 sets of 2 loungers that were priced at a reduced price on March 19, 2023. The price was on their website from Friday, March 17th until late Sunday night, March 19th. So I placed the order Sunday afternoon, March 19, 2023. I received a phone call today, March 22 and was told I could not purchase the loungers for that price because there was a “glitch” in their system. Well I told them they made the mistake and that they should honor the price that was listed. The lady said that the email I received confirming I placed the order had a “disclaimer” in the email stating that if the price was incorrect they had the right to not fulfill order at the advertised price and I could purchase at the corrected price . Well the email I have does not state that. The only thing it mentioned was if the item was out of stock. Do not do business with a company who will not honor prices they post on their internet sites. This is of no fault to the customer. This is the company’s fault. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for teak furniture to buy.

Ordered a set of four pieces of teak for my shower floor. The quality of materials was excellent. The fit is almost perfect. Incredibly quick delivery.

Update to my review and Sally's follow up. Her response is simply baffling. At no point was any of it remotely close to true and we are all now misled from her trying to cover up bad business. At no point we're there any missing parts on my initial problem, a bolt was simply over torqued upon construction and finally fell out a week after having the chair. I only purchased the footstools once, so that's a lie. I gave her ample time (over a week) to communicate with the manufacturer in replacing footstools before writing my review. It is disheartening to see her respond to my review with bold face lies. Absolutely disgusting. Pictures show the bolt of my initial problem. Clearly not lost as she said in her follow up. 1 of several lies. Other picture is that of broken footstool which the other one broke the same way shortly after the first. Which were both purchased at the same time not multiple purchases per her, yet another lie on her behalf. Just please save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere. Sally please feel free to ask me via email to take this one done too. I told you I was upset and might consider in due time. Then I came back to see you call me a liar. I was appalled and am still in shock reading for follow up. FYI these are here to stay.

Beware of the deceiving practice this company uses. I ordered a table and chair set over the phone and was told delivery was included. They asked me if I'd like to add their "White glove treatment" which involves setting up the furniture. I declined and was told they would leave it at my garage. Two weeks later they showed up to deliver the table and chairs with a 48 foot tractor trailer which barely fit down the street never mind my driveway. The driver told me he was going to leave it on the street on a pallet and I'd have to get a fork lift to bring it down my driveway. I have a 200 foot driveway so he refused to deliver as promised. They gave me a refund but kept $180 so they could pay for the non delivery . They refuse to give it back. They are now telling me I should have read the fine print on the receipt. I just wish they were honest about the whole thing.

update to my initial review (this is based on the customer service I received after posting a negative yelp review and not based on the product that I purchased which I still feel was poorly designed and not worth the purchase. Once my issue was finally resolved, Sally sent an email to me asking me to delete my negative review. I feel strongly that good customer service should not be a result of a poor yelp review, so while I won't delete, I am happy to update) Sally at GoldenTeak was responsive once my negative Yelp review was posted and after several emails, zoom calls and attempts of proposed fixes I was still unable to get the pedestal table to stop wobbling. I'm fairly handy and not sure that my "inability" was the problem and feel it was more a design issue. Sally graciously offered to have the table picked up completely assembled and not boxed, despite their policy of saving original box for return if needed. She refunded my purchase price including shipping once the pick up was complete. Great customer service for those who are willing to publicly post complaints was my takeaway from this experience.

Continuing runaround with delivery date of our second order. Unwilling to accommodate for the inconvenience. Cancelled our order instead of waiting and wondering. Good quality teak though.

We just ordered two lounge chairs, cushions and a small table to go between. And a butcher's cutting board (every kitchen needs one of those!). So far, we have been very pleased with the quality of the furniture, the ease of use, and comfort. And the board is a delight. We have worked with Taylor in customer service and found him to be very proactive when there was a holdup and very helpful with timing issues. We received one cushion because its mate was on back order...then it turned out the manufacturer discontinued that color. GT quickly (5 minute conversation) showed us what colors were available and sent us two of them...within 24 hours of the problem coming to light. That's customer service. Thanks, GT!

Three years ago I ordered a pair of teak deck chairs for the cockpit on my boat. I had found them by searching on line and fortunately I came across Golden Teak. The chairs were competitively priced, they arrived within a few days of the order along with the cushions. That summer a bronze bolt on one chair broke, I called and within two days I had a replacement. I am in the boat building and use a great of teak for our trim, the workmanship, quality, and the customer service I've experienced will keep me coming back when I need more teak furniture. Customer Service Nightmare! The management/owner Elle fails to realize what good customer service is. Her answer to a problem with the furniture they delivered is to send a sand paper kit....this patio set cost over 3k! So in return for a damaged and written on piece of furniture Elle offered compensation of a $50 cutting board?!?! Seriously? When explained that a request of 10% be refunded Instead of the company having to Incur the cost of picking up the table and sending a new one this request went completely ignored and her concern was did we get the sanding kit? So the table remained and answer never received and in that time the wood was treated with the golden teak recommended oil and not only was the treated area subject to water/mold/mildew damage but the untreated areas were as well. The directions and drying times were followed and exceeded before this issue came to be. So we are again left with further disappointment and deflection by Elle. Sad to say Elle but it appears your grade A quality teak (at least in this case)...isn't the case! Heart teak (grade A) is supposed to be dry and dense naturally to prevent this issue from occurring...the "teak" that appears to have been used in this case is one located towards the bark and the more porous of the teak wood(not grade A). So to golden teak and Elle I hope you improve your customer service skills because to say they are terrible is an understatement! And by all means possible look somewhere else before buying something from this company!!!

BEWARE- I have never written a review/complaint on a company before but unfortunately based on my experience with Elle and Goldenteak I have been left with few options. Initially, when we received our 6-piece patio set, we were disappointed that there were small chips on the table and actual writing in pen on one of the table slabs. Having spent over $3,000 I was not expecting these defects/imperfections. Given the exceptional reviews about the quality of their products I was disheartened but optimistic the company would work with me and remedy the situation. When I spoke with Elle regarding these problems, she was dismissive and argumentative that these were not defects and initially offered a $50.00 cutting board, which I never received and a sanding kit. The sanding kit did arrive and was useful in correcting the chips, but the pen marks remain on the underside of the table. The next issue occurred once I applied the recommended teak oil. The set looked amazing! It was outside for a total of 4 days, after an evening of rain, the following morning the set had black mold and mildew spots everywhere. I was devastated! Again, I called and spoke with Elle, she blamed the humid weather conditions, and made assumptions that it was my negligence (not cleaning the table properly) that caused this problem. (After speaking with a local wood expert, I was informed neither of these things would have caused the severe mildew and mold on the set.) Throughout my email correspondence and phone conversations with Elle there was never an acknowledgement of their responsibility and that this possibly could be a manufacturer issue. This is probably because there is no intent of honoring their 5-year warranty on product defects. What was recommended, is I hire a company to clean the table and chairs. In my experience with this company I received despicable customer support and a complete lack of accountability. Clearly customer satisfaction is not important to this company or honoring their warranty. I am extremely saddened by this experience and unfortunately, I'm left with a teak set that will cost time, money and missed family dinners this summer due to the extensive nature of the unknown restoration needed for this defective teak patio set. I would never recommend Goldenteak based on this heartbreaking and costly experience.
