Really convenient location, right next to Market Basket, so you can get food & booze in one easy trip. Quite well-stocked, and always a very pleasant experience --- Steve, especially, has a great, outgoing personality and is fun to chat with! There's a truly friendly vibe in this store ... will return again & again!

Wine and Beer at the Andovers has changed ownership, and new owners' outfit is not listed on Yelp (and they do not appear to have changed the name). For this reason, I am reviewing the new shop here, even though it's reported as closed. I have been here 6 times now (since new guys took over), and they have attempted to cheat me each time. When I bring wines to the counter, they ring at least one of them in at around $4 more than the sticker price. If I wasn't watching, they'd get away with it. I have to point it out, and often they will try to argue back. Today, one tried to charge me the "per liter" unit price, and swore it was the "per 750mL" bottle price. They can get pretty belligerent, too. The first few times I thought it was mistakes, or poor transitional organization, then I hoped it was just one of cashiers. It's not. Watch your wallets, folks. From now on, I'm going to avoid this former favorite.

Amazing range of selections for wine lovers like me! & awesome customer service to boot . The men who work there know their stock - ask for a recommendation and you won't be disappointed by their knowledge and effort to help you find something you'll like.

This place is awesome. There's an amazing selection of wine, a solid inventory of beers and great staff. The coolers are stocked with the expected, Coors and Miller and Sam Adams, and exceptionally well. If it's not on the shelves, there are two walk-in coolers that flank both walls in the back, all filled with overstock selection. Just because it's not on the shelf doesn't mean it's not there. The liquor selection is perfect. There's a wide array of manufacturers and a skew of prices that are spot on for college kids and retirees alike. Hell, they even have everclear! In huge bottles! You could either get wasted or breathe fire with that stuff! I've never seen another place in the state carry it, let alone in such huge jugs. There's also a beer club that's dedicated to the unique bottles on the far wall. It's between the beer and the wine sections, on the back wall from the register. If you buy 10, I think you get one free or discounter? I haven't filled it out yet. Perfect place. Right for any price point and right on the bus line.

I came to this Wine and Beer at the Andovers in search of a specific wine I had sampled at a Massachusetts Wine Festival in Marshfield, MA and subsequently fell in love with. On the vineyard's website, it was listed as a retailer of the wine I was looking for. To my great happiness, they had it! Although I was looking specifically in the wine section, the store had great ambiance, the man behind the counter was very outgoing and helpful and from what I saw, the prices were great. They have a great selection of wines, including my beloved Plum Island Red line put out by Mill River Winery in Rowley. I will absolutely be back!

Not a horrible selection, this is more so a place to grab a quick six pack of something other than bud light on your way out before jumping onto 495. Nothing ever really special and you can find alot of stuff cheaper else where. The staff is really nice, but some of them try to sell how good their selection is really hard, and well, it's not THAT great. They basically have everything that's fairly easy to get that people who think that Jason and Todd Alstrom are the end all be all in beer ratings.
