David Landy is a scam artist who sold me an item through facebook marketplace that I've yet to receive. Repeated lies and lame excuses was all I got for nearly a month while waiting for a product that he may or may not have ever had posession of.

David Landy is a scam artist who sold me an item through facebook marketplace. Three weeks worth of lies and hilariously lame excuses ensued until I finally called my credit card company to investigate. They ended up giving me credit for the amount charged and they flagged this merchant as fraudulent.

I give this business zero stars- it is run by a man who lies and cheats people. When we were preparing to move, we contacted various places to come and give us estimates on selling them furniture and other things that we could not take with us. On a recommendation from a relative, we decided to go with Mr. Landy- Worst mistake we ever made! He came and looked at the things and said he would be back in a few days with his 'help' and a truck to pick up all our backyard furniture and some dishes and Xmas decorations etc. that we had. He said he would bring us a check that day, and we'd see what was left and make another pick-up date. Check never came. We called him. He said, "Honest to GOD! I put it in the mail to you on Weds." Another week went by. We called him. He said, "Honest to GOD! I put it in the mail to you on Weds. Another week went by... Well, it's now been 6 weeks- and 6 more Wednesdays! DO NOT GO TO OR SELL ANYTHING TO BROADWAY FURNITURE AND ANTIQUES (or listen to distant relatives!).

I need to know why Dave Landry does not pay me for the furniture that I sold him from my home. We agreed on a total of $1350 for authentic antiques that he bought from me when we were selling our home and relocating from Boston to SW Florida. It took me 2 months of calling him every day to receive $500. Every phone call was a LIE that the check was in the mail. He still owes me $850. This has all been a very unpleasant experience, and he should be ashamed of himself.

The owner David Landry is a total fraud. DO NOT do business with this person. He took half the belongings in my house when our family moved to Florida. These items were authentic antiques. We itemized each piece of furniture: Total $1350. It took 2 months of my calling him every day to receive only $500 toward the total. He LIED every time I talked to him that the check was in the mail. He would say "Honest to God, I swear, I wouldn't lie to a nice lady like you." I told him he ought to be ashamed of himself.

Months ago Broadway Second Hand bought furniture from my 89 year old mother as she was giving up her apartment and moving to senior living. Only after all was loaded and much taken away was I given a post-dated check for $250 less than the agreed amount. Although the check was assured to be good in a few days, it took about a month before they said they had enough to cover it. As for the $250, the owner told be a dozen times that he just mailed it and is should be there in a few days. Once, his selective memory said $200.00. In any case, months later, we're still waiting. We sent a demand letter, which after 30 days remains ignored, except for the owner begging me not to sue him and promising to pay me "today,' but no check. I just filed a small claim and will be seeking treble damages for unfair and deceptive trade practices. Beware!!! I rate their pricing as ultra high end, since nothing is more expensive than not getting paid for something you sold.
