16 N Main St, Ipswich“Arbor Inn was a great place to escape to for a relaxing couples night. We stayed in the room with the jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The room was enormous and the gentleman in the office was very friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be shelving in the shower to put soap and shampoo on and better options for DirecTV. HBO maybe?”

101 Main St, Rowley“We spent 2 nights and loved our experience. The attention to detail with the hot chocolate bar and the coffee and tea selection made it special. Nice continetal breakfast. We loved having a fireplace in our room. Dinner at the Grove was excellent. The staff was very kind and we will be back soon!”
“We stayed here for a week and were quite happy with the room, staff, pool, and free breakfast! We did not have a single issue here and it was a great location for driving around. You can get to an abundance of locations within 20 minutes (Salem, shopping malls, restaurants, etc.). Thank you for such a great experience for our first time in MA!!
Rooms: The rooms were clean and maintained well by cleaning staff each day.
Nearby activities: There are an abundance of activities to do near the hotel. Salem is just a 20 minute drive away which has a lot of shopping, historical homes, museums, etc. We enjoyed the arcade and laser tag around the corner. It was also just a few minutes away from a few beautiful shopping malls and plenty of restaurants.
Safety: Safetywise, there was always someone available at the front desk. It felt pretty safe for the most part, however there is no key access to get into the actual lobby, so anyone can really come in and sit in the lobby which made me a bit fearful at times. However, because the hotel is fairly far to walk from a lot of main areas in MA, it remained safe throughout our stay.
Walkability: I would say that if you are attempting to walk places, youre going to be walking a minimum of 30 mins. To get anywhere aside from homes and trees. We drove everywhere and most places we went were about 5 mins. away by car with the exception of Salem which was only 20 mins. away.
Food & drinks: The free breakfast included was great. It was made fresh each morning and I loved the waffle and pancake machines! They always had plenty to fill us up so that we didnt have to eat out all the time while we were there. They also have snacks available in the lobby to purchase. I loved that guests also have constant access to tea/coffee in the lobby.
Outside of the hotel there are many restaurants located within about 5 minutes of driving (Olive Garden and Torito were our favourites).
Noteworthy details: The firepit at the back of the property was a great addition to our stay, but it was very buggy so I would suggest bringing some bug spray with you. A lot of mosquitoes and beetles that would follow you in either on your clothes or hair since it is a woodsy area.”

50 Ferncroft Rd, Danvers“This is my go-to hotel when staying in the area. Consistently good service, clean and spacious rooms and a good price. There's convention space in the hotel as well as a water park, so there could be busy times where the hotel is jumping, but for the most part it's pretty quiet.”

1 Newbury St, Peabody“I had a terrible experience at your hotel.Upon arrival the lobby had a bunch of people with no shoes on phones hanging out red flag, going to my room in the hallways it smells terrible like bad food , I opened my door and the fire alarm went off ( which I was told some kid pulled) I went down the stairs and people were hanging in stairwells went outside in the cold rain till fire fighters were done,in the meantime I was reading reviews of this hotel and a lot of them had the same experience saying it's a temporary housing shelterWhen I asked at the desks they very abruptly said everyone pays . Honestly I stay in hotels every week for work this was one of the worst experience ever !”

65 Newbury St, Danvers“I'm sitting in a non smoking room that nonetheless has the faintest ghost of old tobacco smoke. Thats probably from the vintage asthmatic air-conditioning which set on 60 keeps the room at an acceptable temperature (it's nearly 95 outside) .
The linens are clean if a bit worn and I am NOT getting eaten by bedbugs.
The paint in the room is fairly recent as is the faux wood flooring and fittings.
The room is definitely acceptably clean.
Modern isn't a word to use here nor is overstaffed (so please cut the staff a break)
The staff when they aren't running around with their hair on fire seem very friendly and as helpful as possible. (I booked a room with microwave and fridge and didn't get one but the price was the same).
The only thing I hated was the bed...I booked a king suite but it was definitely was a queen and the mattress was wayyyy to soft
There really isn't anything wrong with the place a bit of investment in infrastructure and staff wouldn't fix.
It's pretty quiet at night and seems safe enough, although this is obviously the spot of choice for sneaky trysts of all kinds.
Much cheaper if you book beforehand I paid 78 a night which balloons to 165 night of.
All said I'd definitely stay here again.
Pets are welcome and I saw a lot of happy doggos on my visit...I don't know if pets are extra.
Oh yeah there is a pool here! Its indoors to boot but for some reason it isn't in the Expedia listing or in the motel 6 website!
Rooms: Basic but clean
Nearby activities: Salem Massachusetts
Safety: Seems pretty safe. local PD patrols the lot about every hour
Walkability: Not”
“I don’t know why everyone is giving such low reviews. We got 2 rooms for 1 night and for the price, it was a great stay! The rooms were not dirty. I will admit, the floor could’ve been swept better. But other than that, it was clean and comfortable. I was worried about staying here after booking due to all of the negative reviews but people need to get a grip. This is a 2 star MOTEL, not a hotel. It’s not the Ritz. But it was not bad at all, our sheets/bedding/pillows were all clean. Sheets and pillows were whiter than white and looked new to me. Towels were nice and white and clean. The TV and wifi both worked. My parents thought their TV didn’t work, but turns out it just wasn’t plugged in. No noise to keep us up late, no smells in the hotel rooms. Don’t pass this one up esp if you’re looking for something cheap just to sleep in during a stay!Rooms: Aside from the floor needing a better sweep, the rooms were clean and TV and other appliances all in working order.Nearby activities: We stayed here because we visited Salem! It was about 15 minutes from the heart of Salem.Walkability: There is a gas station/store right next to the motel that you can grab snacks from late night!”
“Jason and Makiko are wonderful hosts! We stayed at Kaede for a night to attend a wedding nearby in Ipswich. The property is beautiful, warm, welcoming, and lovingly maintained. Offsite parking behind the inn was a huge plus and provided peace of mind. The location is as good as it gets - super close to the town center and walkable to all the restaurants and shops. The amenities in the room and the bed were thoughtful and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic - I had the Japanese breakfast and my husband had the stuffed French toast. Both were prepared fresh and really tasty. They also provide fresh coffee, tea, and orange juice. We enjoyed our stay here and will be returning the next time we visit the north shore.Walkability: Extremely walkable to the center of town, shops and restaurants.Noteworthy details: Thoughtful Japanese accents, very cute earthenware plates for breakfast!”
