Attended a music concert over the weekend through the Trustees program in Massachusetts. There were a lot of little great bands that perform. They were also a couple different food trucks and even an area to get some beers and wine from local breweries and wineries.Even with bug spray, the bugs are relentless up there on the hill but will definitely have to look up another shove to attend. The mansion is beautiful and if you have a chance to book a tour or sign up for any upcoming events that the Trustees are doing.

Castle was closed for the season. Attendant was nice enough to let us drive through. Would love to see it again in the fall.

Castle Hill was also the quintessential filming location for the Gothically creepy 1987 film version of V.C. Andrews Novel: "Flowers in The Attic."It's one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL spots in Massachusetts in my humble opinion.

Unplanned stop that awed us for hours of exploration. Chevy Chase spent his childhood summers here with family.

An incredible architectural monument, which we damaged by coming here two years before closing, because this time is catastrophically short. We will definitely come back here again. The estate is surrounded by an incredible area, a place from which you do not want to return. we were prevented by the rain, we are already planning our next visit here. The staff were polite, all smiling and telling interesting stories about the estate. I recommend a visit.

Absolutely gorgeous estate and grounds! It's set about 15 minutes away from Ipswich station so you'll need to plan on taking an Uber if you don't have a vehicle. The tour was really interesting and the grounds are amazing. If you're in the Boston area this is a must see! I would plan on spending about 3 hours here if you want to see everything.

Beautiful place. The house inside is amazing. The architecture is breathtaking.I suggest you take the full house tour. If you don't you can explore some of the first floor but there is so much more to see if you take the tour.Don't worry if you see them talking about role playing. That scared my gf away from taking the tour but we saw people on the tour and it was just normal. The tour guide seemed very knowledgeable. I may go back for the tour to see the rest of the house. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed walking the grounds. There are a bunch of trails you can walk with maps to help guide you. There is also at least one random bathroom we stumbled upon while walking which was awesome it was very clean and it's very environmentally friendlyYou can walk right onto the beach from at least one of the trails we walked.Be prepared to walk a lot if you really want to see most of it. Bring propper footwear.Check your local library for discounted tickets (possibly free)Not sure I would bring kids here.$10 per adult to walk the grounds (you are able to explore the first floor) the tours are a separate charge. Not exactly sure on the pricing on that.Overall we had a great time. I would definitely go back again.

We really enjoyed our visit yesterday! The property is beautiful! The weather was rainy but still enjoyable! I ordered our tickets on line without any trouble (there is a military discount offered as well that can be used for the entire family, my husband was in the Navy). I didn't realize that the house is not opened on Mondays to go inside, so that was a little disappointing. But great visit overall!

What an estate. The great house is the crown jewel but honestly the lawn to the sea is what totally blew me away! There is small seating arrangements in the back of the house which is absolutely amazing. You can see the sea from two sides and both the views are absolutely breathtaking! The gardens, casino, beach; there are so much that it's almost impossible to cover in a day! I'm going back again for the house tour! I recommend the same to everyone else.

Beautiful estate with larger grounds and access to the beach. We got the ten dollar tickets which gives you access to the grounds as well as the first floor of the house. We spent two hours walking around this beautiful place. Well worth a visit.

Went here for a 1920’s event and loved the grounds. We never got into the large house but the views and garden area’s were a delight. We will return.
