They annually increase the rate by a lot, and call it "your promotion just ended". The only reason I am still using it is due to their customer service finding new promotion for me to keep old rate, when I call. The speed is OK.

$113+/month for 100mbps of data (using my own modem) which cuts out when only using one device- cannot switch back to Xfinity fast enough. Run/Astound price crept up from$30/ month, to $50, $70, and then over $100!!

Or too sure how I feel about this one yet. Got service up and running pretty quickly. The installer was great. Then the first bill was not what I signed up. I signed up for service online, selected my internet speed, and setup auto pay. All this was done before my installation. Then I get the first bill days after installation and it is higher than expected. I call, was told there is an activation fee. That’s fine but even with that fee it is still higher than what I signed up for. I was told that the auto pay discount is applied after the first bill??

Installer was professional, courteous, fast, and on-time.Account set-up was easy and all my questions were addressed.Our network and wifi connections are running fast and great!Very happy with our service!

Terrible experience. Introductory rate was reasonable, and then very sneakily the price doubled. What is worse, is that the maximum download speeds ever attained were a mere 1/4 of the advertised speed (acknowledging that the speed will vary based on the bandwidth being used in the area, but in what world is 25% of the advertised value acceptable anywhere?). Called customer support to try to find a resolution to this issue, was told one thing, then saw my bill and realized I had been completely misled. Very upset, poor value for money and deceptive customer service. Will switch to alternative ISP ASAP

I just canceled my Astound internet service after being their (originally, RCN) customer for over 5 years. Main reason: their charge just got way too high. In last two years (2021, 2022) they jacked up their service price by almost 50%. Despite multiple calls to have this addressed and get it back to some reasonable charge, the rate never changed. Also, they kept charging for the router rental. There were also other fees than I never really understood and they added up to make the service unreasonably expensive in comparison to other providers. The actual service wasn't too bad, but with noticeable slowdowns, (had 250 mbps service) more often than I could tolerate. It also had service interruptions that were annoying. The router signal wasn't all that strong - I had to buy signal extender for more complete coverage. If you go with their service, be sure to have some sort of rate guarantee.

Fast internet but they lure you in with an amazing price and then increase it to over double your original bill after the promotion ends and they do it very quietly to boot. Hoping starry adds coverage to my area soon.

My bank paid them twice, it has been over 1 month since I asked for a refund, so far, the overpayment has not been returned. At one point, they applied it to my account, this was during the time I had been asking for the refund. The customer service is horrible, they raise their rates with no warning. Leave you on hold forever, while say the call is important. They will soon no longer be my cable service.
