Gosh, what great people and a great operation! We showed up and took home our brindle greyhound rescue named Turner. Staff made sure we went home with a proper leash (I'd foolishly bought a retractable one) and proper awareness of his needs including meds. Their adoption application really shows that they're serious about making sure their foster dogs go home with committed owners. <3

A nice clean place. The ladies were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Did not feel rushed. Took the time to let the pup get to know us. Very good experience.

I've been a volunteer on and off since 2010 and am now a board member. I've adopted 5 greyhounds from this rescue over the years and have had a great experience every time. The kennel has been recently updated and new leadership is in place. The living conditions for the dogs are excellent. I am proud to serve this organization and look forward to many more years of helping dogs to find the loving homes that they deserve.

I have called to adopt a dog.Called twice now. Left a message.Emailed also. I don't know how these rescues adopt dog out if they don't get back to you.All of these places. They want all your info before you even meet the dogs. The owner makes tons of money off the backs of the volunteers working ,caring for the animals. One of them wanted a copy of our mortgage and said they were going to do a background check. I have always been warned about protecting my personal info. I even went in person to one of these places. They wouldn't let me even see the dogs, they said I had to fill out an app even before seeing them. Then I could only pick out a dog from a photo album. Then after I filled out the app she still wouldn't let me see the dogs. NEWS FLASH! These groups are making money left and right.I've seen some outrageous prices, for pound puppies.Someone should be looking into the non profit status of these places..

We adopted a dog that had serious medical issues that were not disclosed to us, they had to know about. Cost of adoption and veterinary bills we can't recover. Be careful ask for current lab results for blood work. I gave them 3 stars because they have other dogs that need homes and they should be adopted.

The kennel is clean and the puppies are very Happy with double size homes while they wait for adoption. They do need volunteers for outside cleaning for spring and summer. Go to GHF site. And you can visit on the weekends. The best place.

This organization including the founder, staff and volunteers have given 100% to the protection of the Greyhound breed and it's members.

There is no question that GHFs places many dogs and luckily some have found great homes. however it has come to light that the not so lucky dogs are left without the proper vet care and the dogs are left to languish for months and even years.

I'm sickened by the treatment of these dogs at Greyhound Friends and the board of director's continual denial of the suffering they caused.

the application process was thorough, and when we arrived, trina was brought out to meet us. we were told that this is the 'best girl we have', and this proved to be prophetic. trina has been with us since march 2015, she is now a certified pet therapy dog. we've been to open houses before, and always have been impressed by the facility's cleanliness and organization. the many folks who brought their pups all echoed the same sentiment in noting what a marvelous place greyhound friends is, and how much it is valued and respected. we devotees hope this rescue agency reopens it's doors again, as i do not know of another like it that has saved countless lives from here and around the globe, going on four decades, with selfless devotion and dedication.

I have been adopting dogs from Greyhound Friends for 25 years. My latest was adopted in January 2017. They have the greatest ability to help place you with the perfect dog! They have truly become an extended family. They help save all kinds of dogs from all over the world. They never discriminate against dogs- I adopted a 3 legged dog from them in 2008. Greyhound Friends is one of the best shelters around. I don't adopt from anywhere else.

While there is a kennel very close to my house, I have been adopting from Greyhound Friends for 28 years because I trust them more. Any time I have adopted or fostered a dog, they have always been will to take it back if there was an issue. This is not true of all rescues and for my money, is proof that the welfare of the dogs is their prime concern. I have also fostered many dogs from Greyhound Friends. They have been around for many, many years and have done groundbreaking work. They have a nice kennel and have adopted out thousands of dogs.
