I wish I could minus stars. I've used CVS in Worcester and West Boylston and now Holden for the past four years. It has to be the worst CVS in history....talking about the Pharmacy not the front of the store (they are always helpful). My husband had a prescription sent in on Friday 3/23/23. I went to get it Saturday...they didn't have it in stock. They said Tuesday the 28th. Went in Tuesday, they didn't have it and said they had to call the doctor. I checked online today, Wednesday the 29th, it said in process and getting more information it said it would be ready at noon. Went in at 1:00 and there had to be 8 people in line and more coming with one ringer. Get to the register.... Surprise!!! They don't have it. We are switching pharmacies I'm sick of their crap. So my husband has been without his medication for 4 days and they offer no solution. They ROT.

my experience w/ CVS, Holden MA overall has been pretty Good.My complaints are For CVS ThemSELVES; pharmacy appears Understaffed, ridiculously little amount of space for them to Work & Stored meds properly. Almost ALWAYS Out Straight. For the reasons I said; UNfair to the staff that Tries their BEST w/ the Very miniscule space & lack of help.

Seemed like everyone who worked there hated their lives, no one was helpful, especially the pharmacists. One cashier wasn't wearing their mask fully and nobody in line was standing on the 6 feet apart spots on the floor. I used to love this CVS but over the years this place went wayyy down hill. Sad!

I am writing regarding the pharmacy, NOT the front of the store. I went in to pick up a prescription for my mother. It wasn't available, so I waited in the consulting line. And waited...and waited. I waited at least 20 minutes. There was a man being served that entire time. Nobody said a word to him. Nobody said a word to me. I felt invisible, like time had stood still. I called on my cell phone to the pharmacy while I was in line, and she picked up right away. She hung up as soon as she was told that I was in line. So I left, and called half an hour later. Because I couldn't remember my mother's year of birth (I was off by one year) they could not help me. We have been doing business there for thirty years. Customer service is not in their skill set. I was angry, and four hours later I still am. My mother is 100 years old. I thought she was born in 1919. It turns out she was born in 1918. And they couldn't cut her and me any slack. It was not a narcotics prescription, just a nasal spray that required a script. Terrible, terrible customer service.

We have been going to this CVS for 18 years and never had a problem. They have always been pleasant and responsive - we've never encountered the rudeness a few others have written about. Our prescriptions have been filled promptly and correctly.

CVS Pharmacy Holden, MA The only prescription this pharmacy can fill is frustration. I received what I would consider decent service for many years, however, I've become increasingly dissatisfied with the pharmacy staff, pharmacists (with one exception), their customer service, and general unreliability of this corporation. I manage prescriptions for 3 of my children who are at life threatening risk without taking them daily. After calling several times to ask if a doc had called in a new script, I had the doc paged. He called me back right away to say he had faxed it over. I went in to pick up the medication and the staff looked at me with blank stares. They checked their records and said they didn't see anything. It was only when I persisted and told them I'd spoken with the doc that they dug a little deeper to find the script in some sort of "on hold" status. Already my son had been without the med for a few days. When the staff member realized what had happened, no apologies were offered, and I was told that due to my insurance, this was a glitch that was out of their hands. Whaaaaat????? If I hadn't pushed, we'd still be in this hell loop of doc vs. pharmacy/ I had another similar incident where the pharmacist had to perform some sort of manual override on the weekend to get insurance coverage for a script, but made sure to lecture me about being better prepared and contact the doctor sooner!! I was dumbfounded!, I'd just explained to to another staff member that I'd called and emailed the doc multiple times but the pharmacist had to have the last word, Both incidents and many more over the past year, have been due to lack of thoroughness on the part of cvs pharmacy staff, issues with their online refill process, and assigning blame to the customer, repeatedly and without cause. It must be my fault, right? My kids need these meds to maintain a normal semblance of life, without them, it falls apart fast and CVS is just not on my side!

Absolutely avoid this pharmacy at all costs. I've been on the phone with Insurance/doctors office/cvs for a combined total of about 2 hours between yesterday and today trying to get my prescription filled correctly. CVS got the authorization from Insurance and the explicitly worded prescription from the doctor with the exact quantity of doses, and they still gave me 1/3 less than needed. Absolutely ridiculous. They claim it's because it's not legal to give more, but if that's true, they broke the law the last time I filled this prescription. Pharmacist is either a liar, or breaking the law. Either way, you should absolutely avoid. And if that's not enough, another one of my medications is a schedule III drug. Heavily regulated. They filled 1 50mg supply AND the 70mg supply I actually needed, and tried to offer both (illegal). They've also repeatedly filled prescriptions that I've repeatedly told them I no longer take. I'm not even sure what prescription they're filling it based on, because my doctor stopped renewing. This pharmacy is a mess. Avoid it at all costs. If messing with your medications doesn't scare you off, I should warn you that if you ever have an issue, you will be rudely confronted right up at the counter, in front of a line of customers, and through and incredibly rude tone. Just avoid. CVS is not worth the hassle.
