A great place to get shoes for wide feet. They are helpful and concerned about your needs. They have a good selection of shoes and sneakers including walking shoes, running shoes, dress, and boots. They usually have a rack with shoes marked down. These include shoes that have been returned, discontinued, or many other reasons. In addition to their showroom they do a very reliable mail order business. 5 stars to Hitchcock Shoes

Unfortunately no opportunity for a cash refund. Disappointed that I am now out almost $100. Be sure you read the policies and understand there is no working with the customer or exceptions.

Ordered a pair of Yoshi sport shoes. I'm in Canada, so ended up paying $45 USD to ship. Figured it'd be worth it for a specialty wide shoe store. Shoes got shipped to me from Sweden (common location for AliExpress orders ?), took over a month to get to Canada. Got hit for another $50 at the border. Over $200 CAD in now. Got the shoes, they were ok. Looked nice, thin soles though. Almost zero tread. After 10-20 times wearing them in an office setting the toe separated from the sole. The sole has fake stitching to make it look like the upper is sewn directly to the lower, potentially making them re-solable. It is not. It's just horribly cemented. I've had shoes from Walmart that I paid $25 CAD for that held up longer. My Sketchers that I've worn almost everyday for 4 years and paid $80 CAD for have zero sole separation. Pretty much everything else on them is worn out, but the cemented soles are firmly attached. I just ended up ordering from New Balance online to get my extra wide size. $125 CAD with free shipping and free returns. Came in two days, for amazing. Still pissed I'm out more than $200 bucks for these garbage shoes. That Hitchcock would even sell these tells you they don't care about their customer or providing a quality product.

I need men's 9.5 6E+ shoes to fit my very wide feet with high arches and custom orthotics. After trying a bunch of shoes (e.g., Propet, Orthofeet, Drew, New Balance, etc.), I decided to order the 8E from here, despite their shipping and return policy. After several emails with Hitchcock, asking for recommendations, I decided to order the 1902 style, Navy Mesh HS2 Sport Casual, in 9.5 8E (I gave my measurements but did not let them size me). I had to search the internet for a coupon code, which pretty much covered the shipping. The shoes were too small in every dimension (length, width, and instep). I also didn't like the style and thought they wouldn't fit right even in a larger size (the back of the heel and tongue bothered me, and the shape of the shoe was too narrow in the midfoot). For reference, all of my shoes are 9.5 (5E and 6E currently) and are usually slightly too long. I paid for 2 day return shipping (discounted through UPS.com) and I asked for a recommendation for an exchange (with an written explanation of my issue). They received the shoes on a Monday and it took them almost the entire week to get back to me, even after I emailed them. I ended up having to call them and the woman on the phone could only recommend buying a size up, since according to her, "there is no other style in width 8E." I wasn't going to argue with her or direct her to other styles, so I asked for a refund. I did receive a full refund on my purchase.

I purchased men's wide slippers from Hitchcock. The shoes are well made with a strong sole, but extremely expensive for a slipper. The problem with these is that the heel is very short, almost like a scuff. So it keep falling off my foot. I didn't get around to trying them on for a couple of weeks, and found I just missed the 30 day return deadline. This is entirely my fault. They are basically a winter item, and I just didn't take the time to try them on sooner. The time period starts when the credit card is charged, not when the item actually arrives. Also, to return an item you must ship back in the original box/package. If you know exactly what you want, don't plan to make a return or exchange, and are willing to pay a high price, this is a good company to work with. Otherwise, be careful.

Ordered "3e" wide shoes from the store I was disappointed to receive shoes that were more narrow than my conventionally sized Walmart shoes. I understand being responsible for return shipping on things that don't fit but this feels like a scam and false advertising. How are you going to call a shoe extra wide when it isn't even as wide as a regular shoe. I emailed them hoping that they would rectify the situation because it was obvious that the shoe was not as wide as advertised but was met with the policy of customers being responsible for return shipping. Not impressed. I would highly recommend ordering from a different company. Had phenomenal experiences with other companies.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ONLINE STORE! I have wide feet and have trouble finding shoes. I try most everything.I ordered two pair from them then tried to return a $59 pair which did not fit. Return shipping was $44 with UPS. I paid only $16 to ship both pair to me. Customer responsible for return shipping. They offered no assistance via the telephone call either.

I haven’t visited the store yet but my elderly mother had to call me and rave about her new shoes and how comfortable they were and what nice people she dealt with. Thank you

The good-They got the best selection of wide shoes and try really hard to make sure your shoe fits before you buy it. Shipping is fast and easy, never had a problem. The bad-The Hitchcock branded shoes do not last long for the price. In the new world of free returns they're still stuck in the 50s leaving you to pay for the return of a bad fitting shoe.I'll still shop there, it's nice when you have limited options but you need to be careful.
