I've had an incredible experience that is well worth the 3 hour drive from my home and back. Speedlife is owned by a gentleman who is currently on deployment (respect) out of the United States in Afghanistan for the Reserves (from what I recall). His father Jerry is running the shop while he is away. Jerry is an excellent communicator and a pleasure to work with! Louis and Josh are the main mechanics in the shop it seems. Louis has excellent attention to detail. He recognized that an aftermarket paint job had been done on my brake calipers and that there were anti-shake stabilizer clips missing or broken and they went through the effort of not only reacquiring those clips but scraping the paint down so that they would fit again. The difference on before and after brakes are phenomenal. Literally night and day.
After that initial experience I immediately requested to come back to have my spark plugs changed. Lewis did some testing and noticed micro misfiring and a full random misdownfire on one of the V6 cylinders. After changing them all misfires were gone. He is very accurate and doesn't withhold any information if you just talk to him about what is happening he will let you know all of the details. There are also willing to use parts that you have or purchase just don't expect them to warranty those parts.
Finally once we had figured out the misfire we decided to do an APR ECU stage 1 tune up after I done my own software update from thenavman website and saved $800 from avoiding a dealership. Audi vehicles come very under tuned from the factory. We changed the horsepower from 330 to 447, and the torque was increased by 100 lb. I actually attached a video to this review of a zero to 85 or so mph run, after the tuning.
I'm going back for a third time, to get my front camera replaced, an exhaust pipe welded, and a motor mount fixed. After the amazing experience with them I'm literally afraid to take it to another mechanic. It's too hard to find an honest mechanic in this world so I'll be sticking with them permanently going forward.
You should not expect quality work to be free. When it's done well, you're going to pay the equivalent cost. Rather than trying to save a couple hundred bucks spend the appropriate money and have the work done right! I was not paid or compensated for any of this review. It is simply a genuine review of my personal experience.

I picked up a 2018 Golf R last year running off the shelf APR tunes. The previous owner was already bringing the car to Gerry and Luis for maintenance and ECU flashes. He gave them a great review. I figured I'd continue brining my car here. They have been great at scheduling me in for routine APR flashes when needed and are always professional and courteous. When my clutch started slipping I informed Gerry and he said they've done many clutch installs for not only the Golfs, but many other cars as well. I ended up picking up a beast of a twin disc clutch that Gerry and Luis had never personally installed on this platform, but they took it on. There were some minor issues with the install, but Gerry contacted Clutch Masters on his dime and worked it all out. After stalling it 5 times trying to get it out of the parking lot (learning curve on a twin disk that bites with the force of 1000 alligators) I couldn't be happier. I'm bringing it back in for an intercooler and eventually a turbo upgrade. Thanks Gerry and Luis, you guys are awesome. I look forward to future business with you.

If you live in the Merrimack Valley and you need service on your vehicle. You need to get your car into Speedlife. The technicians take a hands-on approach and are very easy to talk to. They actually give you details on what issues your car may have. Then the owner gives you options straight up with no hidden cost or fees. I have an 08 BMW with over 150K miles on it, and they keep her running smooth. They are busy, because they are one of the best. But once you get an appointment the work is done quickly and completely. So if you need service run, don't walk and get your appointment set.

giving two stars because everyone had good attitudes when communicating.i’ve brought my cars here since 2019. from audis to volkswagen to bmw. they have done quality work in a timely fashion until recently. i brought my bmw in a few months ago and granted the car was a wreck with numerous problems. i had my wheel violently shaking on right hand turns. speed life diagnosed it as a control arm and repaired it. when i picked my bmw up and drove out of the shop, literally 30 seconds down the road my traction control light, abs light and stability light came on, and they werent able to align it after charging me 700 dollars for a control arm. when i got to the alignment shop they brought me in, showed me an extremely rotted subframe that i was unaware of, and showed me that my wheel was shaking back and forth while stationary on the lift and warned me that the car was extremely unsafe to drive. so why is it that an alignment shop can point out these issues to me, but the german specialist who had my car on a lift could not warn me about these problems? also did not inform me that my car was basically totaled before charging me that much to fix it. then when i contacted on the phone i got a bad attitude for bringing these issues to someones attention. fast forward (since i’ve always had good experiences) to about 2 weeks ago, the turbo on my jetta was cracked. i brought it in and explained my bad experience last time, giving them a second chance and hoping it was just a bad day, they told me they would replace my oil cap that was spitting oil on to my engine and after i pick my car up, its smoking again and im genuinely concerned because im assuming my cap has been replaced, i pop the hood to not only find that my cap was NOT replaced, but the mechanic also forgot to put the end of my intake back on, letting it rest on the heat shield of my exhaust and get burned, causing a potential fire hazard. also not to mention they were already adding oil from replacing the turbo and wanted to charge me 90 dollars to do an oil change, which means they were doing me no favors at all after i was nice enough to give them a second chance. i do not recommend this shop and will be finding a new one.

If there was a 6th star, this is where I would use it! Speedlife has helped me multiple times with my built 2010 Audi A4, the installed a turbo, down-pipe, tuned it, all in the matter of a day. They gave me r8 coils for $15 each. They squeezed me in any time I needed them. Very honest and friendly team. I had told them I was driving back to Alaska and within 1 1/2 days they got me winter tires, lifted my car in its coil-overs, aligned them, for nearly half of what every other ship quoted me. My car died on the highway due to coolant leaking on all my wires. Once at the shop, one of the mechanics merely touched the coolant box and it exploded all over him. I ended up feeling really bad about the situation and bought them food from a local business. Moral of the story, Speedlife in Haverhill is the finest business for any vehicle maintenance by far! Thank you Jason!

Super nice gentlemen who work here. Brought my Audi A6 quattro for a water pump replacement and oil pan gasket leak, and they beat the prices that the Audi dealership quoted me and any other place around! Brought the car in as soon as they opened and was finished by the end of the day. I highly recommend this repair shop for your non domestic vehicles.

These guys are great with BMW. I had an issue where I would take a turn and if hear a noise and these guys were the only one who was able to find the issue. I also had electrical problem where the previous mechanic had install the wrong size alternator and these guys were able to figure that out as well. I would very much recommend German made cars to these guys and they are also very professional especially when the dealers charges so much. Definitely give these guys a try.Service: Electrical repair

Its hard finding a good mechanic but its even more difficult trying to find one that works with BMWs. They did a great job in getting mine back on the road for alot less than what the dealership would have charged. I would highly recommend them.

Been to a lot of mechanics but I finally found one I can always rely on. No overcharging, no extra parts, and always straight to the point. Very knowledgeable about the work he does. Referred him to many and no disappointments. BMW asked me to replace 2 parts and he told me only one needs to be replaced. Went back to BMW they told me the same (only one part needs to be replaced). His price was at least 50% less than what was quoted by BMW and same goes for Mercedes. 100% satisfied.Services: Transmission
