Only giving one star because you can’t do zero. Took our beautiful healthy one year old golden Friday morning, who had just got a clean bill of health a few days prior! When she was picked up Sunday, she fell and couldn’t walk. When asked they said oh it was from the kennel? We took her home and we carried her in, laid with her, and tried to give her water with a dropper. Unfortunately the next morning she was dead?the sweetest dog you’d ever meet with zero issues beforehand. When I called that morning, there was no remorse, what may of happened, etc. when I called again today to ask about cameras, they apparently don’t have them where the dogs are kenneled? Yet they leave Sunday at 11 and no one comes back until 4, so there’s really no answer of what happened there! You never think someone like this could happen to your dog, but I don’t want anyone else’s family to ever go through this again. I’m hopeful they will try to be more helpful and show us the footage from Friday morning until we picked her up .. just so we can see if she was drinking/got injured/anything. I’m also curious why Saturday night, as my dog was there, they randomly posted on their page that due to personal issues they wouldn’t be boarding anymore???did something happen that they don’t want us to know?

We have been going to heritage kennels for grooming for over 20 years. Dawn was the owner and when she passed her son Michael took over. We were always happy. This past weekend our son was getting married so we needed our beautiful 1 year old to be be boarded and groomed for 2 nights. When we picked her up she fell twice . I asked why is this- and Michael said I guess from being in the cage. When she came home she drank a ton of water and threw it all up. From then on she was very week, and we called heritage. We were told well she didn't drink and eat much as they thought she was just nervous. She went outside good but didn't really want to come back in. I asked did you just pull her in and they said well basically. We fed her water with a water dropper and hoped that with our love and food and water she would be much improved by the Mornong. Sadly she died overnight and my husband found her early morning . This MUST not happen to any other dogs . We took her for a physical and she was deemed in great health. Which we pretty much knew. No heart, neurological - nothing . I have been crying for 2 days straight and even the owner said there are no cameras where they board them. And strangely Saturday night of our dogs second night they posted that they wouldn't be boarding anymore. I really wish that the owner would just look at all cameras and please tell us what may have happened. He is not a mean person but I feel somebody knows something Believe me the one star is because they won't let you do none

Please do not bring your pet to be groomed or boarded to Heritage Kennels. They remove all negative posting from their Facebook and website page. Many people have stated they do not give water to pets waiting for hours to be groomed. A healthy 1.5 year passed away hours after being picked up from being board there for three days. She did not eat or drink for three days and they did not find it concerning to take her to the Vets or call the owner.

I had plans change on me at the last minute. I needed daycare for the dog, and Heritage Kennels was our rescuer. Reasonably priced and nice staff!

Love the way Michael grooms "Brady." This is my second Maltese and both of them have only been groomed at Heritage Kennels. Wonderful experiences. I highly recommend.

I am leaving for vacation on 4/1 and at the beginning of March I booked a grooming reservation at Abington Dog Care. They canceled my appointment (after I dropped my dog off with them and said they only groom “family and friends dogs”) I called around to every grooming salon I could find because now I only had two days to find her an appointment! I called Heritage and first off, the lady on the phone was so nice. She told me her next available was two days from now. They were SO accommodating in every way. My brother dropped my dog off as I was working and he said the man he spoke to (perhaps the owner?) was so incredibly nice. Because I wasn’t there in person for the drop off and my brother does not know anything about dogs, I emailed the salon with what I wanted for the groom. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND. My dog is 9 years old and gets groomed every 6 weeks of her life. This BY FAR is the best groom I have ever seen on her. They also allowed me to pick my dog up after my working shift!! Such nice people and you can tell they truly care. Prices were also so reasonable. I did the shampoo and conditioning and my dog smelled amazing and was so soft. 100% recommend for any poodle coats. Can’t say enough good things about their amazing service. My dog is also very skittish and shy and she is usually shaking when I pick her up from a groom. However? When I picked her up from Heritage she literally looked like she was smiling and wagged her tail and was so happy!! It really shows that they truly take the best care of their dogs even behind closed doors. Thank you Heritage!!!
